Holy hell! Went out at 12:30 this morning hung out at Flamingo Bowl, which is usually fun. Hanging out at an industry bar is always fun. So tonight I was chilling with the owner of 4Hands brewery, and then also the owner of Flamingo Bowl was there, and a few other bartenders.

I won a $100 by chugging a pint of 4hands red. Lost count on shots... I should not be functioning right now.

this is the one i want:

I have the first worksharp and have had great success with it (so far) but the new model looks great.

A really good song that a buddy pointed out to me from Awww-Straya :D

Some people here don't know the words to our national anthem, but they usually know Khe Sahn :D

I never heard that name until a few moments ago when a buddy showed it to me.

That song made me think of this song. I never met a soldier that wasnt touched at least a little by this song, despite their music preferences

If only it was that easy...I'd still be "bird #2":(
Funny but true - had a girlfriend a few decades ago that loved the smell of my pits au naturel, which was more than kinda nice....
Strange he was referring to "armpits" 'cause....birds don't have arms.
'Sides, human courtship is more analogous to this:

Morning Beckerheads.

I've been hearing/reading about that Ken Onion version but haven't seen a price on it. Is it over $100?

Never mind...
I just checked it out on the river. Too spensive for me. At least til after the new year.

Those of you already using the Worksharp . . .

Normally, I sharpen my knives with the blade cutting into the stone. On the Worksharp, if you use the guides, one side of the blade is sharpened with the belt running toward the edge and the other side with the belt running away from the edge.

Does this matter? Make any difference?

Just seems like it might cause a difference from one side of the blade to to other. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill . . . ??

Unroll cinnamon rolls and put 'em back together with a strip of bacon in each one. Bake normally. Yum!

These are a little funny-lookin' because the dough didn't unroll easily... but they still taste good.

I don't notice any difference, but I only sharpen my large outdoor knives on it.
