Those of you already using the Worksharp . . .

Normally, I sharpen my knives with the blade cutting into the stone. On the Worksharp, if you use the guides, one side of the blade is sharpened with the belt running toward the edge and the other side with the belt running away from the edge.

Does this matter? Make any difference?

Just seems like it might cause a difference from one side of the blade to to other. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill . . . ??

Man i was going to ask this same question as well. i dont understand really how the belt going 2 different ways makes the same effect. doesnt work that way on a strop or stone... atleast not for me LMAO

Thanks, Bigghoss & granite . . . appreciate the tips!

Jury is still out. Ordered a KME first of last week which was shipped priority mail from NJ on Wed. Should have been here Friday, 11/15 but instead it's sitting in Billings, MT for over 24 hours now. :(

May pass on the KME and order the WSKO from the river store. At least their shipping is reliable and it will still get here before the KME.

Yeah . . . I'm impatient . . . :emot-yarr:

Really want a KME, i much rather use something like that really.

Yea it made it today :D Time to open the box with my choppy :D

yeah, that sucks. I don't order bacon out. WholeFuuds has GREAT thick-cut naturally cured bacon. OMG yum.
I will have to try that next time I'm near one of their stores. Now I'm gonna have to check Trader Jose's, too, now that you brought that up. In the meantime, the BJ's here has Vermont Smoke & Cure maple brined, cob- and maple-smoked crack...er...bacon to keep me happy. And at club store prices, hands down best value ever. IMO.

All right screw it. I've been working on this thread for a couple hours so here it is. A couple of weeks ago Bigghoss and DerekH was telling me I sould make a shirt cannon and mount it on a souped up lawn tractor. (I don't know why but look who's talkin) anyway, no shirt cannon, but besides that, been there, done that. Had to do some diggin, but here's the story, Enjoy!

710 is a Beckerhead... so this relates LMAO

But WOW doesnt do this sheath any justice, pictures cant really show how awesome it is, and the way it feels is just spectacular.

Thank you JD for hooking this up for me, and thanks for the shirt and lanyard as well, the lanyard with my rat bead matches the set up so perfectly. The shirt is excellent as well. Beefy-t hanes and I love the color.

Thanks man!!!!

I ordered three of these bags last week, and they arrived a couple of days ago.
While they were billed as "used," mine sure don't look it. Each one still had unused gloves and lens cleaners inside.
Makes a great woods-walking bag. I kept the waist strap, but just rolled it up and slapped a "Web Dominator" on it.
Here's my rig so far.

Looks neat. I'd throw a few drum liners in there for good measure too.

I'm surprised you didn't throw a stove in there biscuit. I like that kit though. I might have to do something like that. I still need to get a shemagh.

They're a nice thing to have. I also like to have just a regular handkerchief/bandana, it's a good size to dip in a stream and put under your hat when it's hot.

Oh yeah. I remember you telling me about all that. Heck of a story and one awesome lawn tractor.

Is it too early to say "ibtl"?

Just a little.

I need to talk to Julio about getting a sheath for an 11. I had an extra factory one that my new 11 is sitting in but I don't much care for it...

I'm half tempted to try making my own, I know it won't be near as good, however I also know if I had to get Kydex for each of the ones I want it for, I'd be broke until sometime in 3015!

I'm in the same boat. I have to learn to make my own or I'll never get kydex for all the blades I want to.

It looks like the blades I got from WW should be here today pretty soon as well as an Opinel NO. 10 I ordered. A No.9 and a BK7 should show up on Tuesday. Sorry WW, they still haven't shipped that BK9 yet. It'll probably ship on Monday, I wish there was something I could do to light a fire under them.

I just picked up a new balaclava while in Chicago. Under Armour with infared reflection lining, OMG that sucker will make your hair sweat it gets so warm when it's cold!
Just a little.
It's Dj he doesn't have the stamina of the older folks just yet. He's still a young'in!
