You did nothing wrong. He gets this way every now and again. Pay it no mind. The thread can be deleted if it makes things better im new on here and dont want to upset anyone
The only person that should be upset is you.The scammers are getting better with taking money from innocent people. That’s what’s so aggravating for members here. The thread can be deleted if it makes things better im new on here and dont want to upset anyone
I am not very tech savy, but I see the example photo indicates that it was AI. Is that always the case

Thanks. No it doesn't always indicate it is AI, I think that was just the filename. Here's another photo that doesn't look as "refined" and looks to be in a more realistic setting/lighting with different text style. Sometimes there will be a watermark if you're lucky. I think Gemini adds a watermark.

Well if you pay $30 and are able to scam someone out of a few thousand bucks, thats a solid pay day for a scammer. So did the lennyou guy have a gold membership? I’m confused about how he would’ve saw the wtb thread without the appropriate membership. Apologies if this has already been asked and answered. Making $1470 is a good lick but I just don’t think he’d pay for a membership. Makes me think they’re working with others(gold members laying low)on here.
As I said “it’s a good lick”. Whenever I try to look at the perps profile it doesn’t show gold. Pretty sure they show the membership level banner even after being banned. I could be wrong thoughWell if you pay $30 and are able to scam someone out of a few thousand bucks, thats a solid pay day for a scammer.
You bring up a good point, and it's something that onlyAs I said “it’s a good lick”. Whenever I try to look at the perps profile it doesn’t show gold. Pretty sure they show the membership level banner even after being banned. I could be wrong though

Thank you for the clarification. Didn’t mean to make you do any work.Okay, I see what happened. The OP originally opened a new thread in the Custom Knife sub-forum. The thread was appropriately moved to WTB, and when it was moved, the reply from the scammer to the original post went along with it.
So, the banned member did not have access to the WTB area, as he had replied to the OP outside of the Exchange. His post simply transferred over to the new thread when it was moved to WTB, and once it was seen it was deleted, and the account banned. (Unfortunately, not before the hook was set.)
Mystery solved.
(ETA: The post was removed and he was literally banned four minutes after the time he posted. Just bad luck.)
