Thanks, Gary. The other side did not take or retain the color as well and is lighter, (which appears to be a common issue with elk covers)...but it wasn't enough of an "issue" to keep me from wanting the knife which I acquired years ago in a trade with one of our esteemed members. I also had a really nice pouch sheath made for it by Paul Long.
