I was miss-quoted several times in this thread. The OP got it right, nobody else did.
I was not implying (in my video of the Bravo1) that ESEE knives are junk, or far inferior to the the BRKTs. I was simply making a point about the priority of buying the best knife you can afford when it comes to something that will improve you're SURVIVAL chances in an emergency.
Those of you that have watch my reviews of Rat Cutlery and Ontario Rat knives know that I think they are very good, rugged, well designed, and very functional knives. Are they the best? In my humble opinion, no. Very, very good - not the best. Is BRKT the best? Probably not, but the best so far in my collection.
All my opinion here, remember. Blunt truth means "my truthful opinion", not "the indisputable facts".
As for paying way more for a BRKT over an ESEE. My Bavo1 was $140, not much more than similar ESEE knives.
