And The Snark Goes On

I agree with you guys. I bring lunch everyday to try to save. There are people at my work that buy lunch everyday. How much land or how big is the lot your cabin is on warrior? That truly is awesome.

I always take my lunch too. 2.63 acres. Thanks man, we love it.

I gave up pop at the begaining of June and mixing that with cutting back on what I eat I've already lost almost 10 LBS, it really does work

The last time I really went on a diet, I lost 25 lbs in 2 and a half months. My diet didn't change drastically, I just got more active. Rode the stationary bike 2 miles every morning when I got up, and rode my bicycle for 2 hours every night.

Glad to hear the news GSO; sounds like your mom's turned the corner.

I stopped drinking soft drinks at the beginning of the year; needed a break from all the sugar. So far so good.

Found a small stand of birch trees with some horsehoof fungus a few weeks ago; dried them out and started processing them with my 16 tonight. Only managed to nick myself three times so far! 👍

Glad to hear some good news, Greg. Prayers and smoke continue from me and mine to you and yours.

JT, I think that is spousal communication at its best right there! Nothing like a relaxing evening of fishing!

Right on! I didn't catch a dang thing except a bourbon buzz. Angie caught 4 nice little browns... I call 'em "sammich trout" as in, legal to keep and just big enough for a sandwich or two.

The river was flat gorgeous as usual. Ang drove us home, I cleaned the fish and wrapped/put 'em in the freeze (guts and heads in the compost bin), and the plan is to smoke 'em this weekend. All things considered, it was a very nice evening, and far better than "date night" at some crappy restaurant.

So, this happened today...

So what's up with that other thing you designed? Just curious.

It's on its way to Peters to get heat treated as soon as I get the bolts I need for the handle to make sure I have the handle holes drilled out large enough so I'm not trying to drill through a heat treated chunk of steel.

My wife actually asked me to stop buying knives for a few weeks until I'm settled in Virginia. What the......??!!! The nerve!!!

(Daizee, this statement does not apply to the arrangement we alredy made.;))

For some reason I think I need a Leatherman Micra.

I have one that I've EDC'ed for probably close to 20 years. I find that I need the scissors a lot more often than I need the pliers from the regular Leatherman. An when I do need pliers, I usually have them available in a toolbox.

Morning folks. Hot and muggy here today - not looking forward to the being outside for any length of time. Heading back to the Arcteryx store. Hopefully the fixtures arrive on schedule and we can get started on this project.

I have been looking at the Leatherman Surge or Charge TTi. I figure that would replace the mini multitool and SAK in my EDC and maybe clear out some pocket realestate. The interchangable driver bit kit is what does it for me too :D

That Micra looks pretty neat.

Surge, it's my favorite!

Outstanding mail call for me today. I am so excited over this knife. 3/16" thick and has some heft. I can't wait for the new ones. This is one bad@$$ kukri.

From everything I hear, short of Hanks personal kuk, That one is the one that was the best of the old blades. Nice Score !

Thanks Silverthorn. It is in excellent condition and as much as i want to resist the urge to use it...this thing feels like it needs to chop something, anything. Lol

just dropped the kids off at day camp....and it's high tide in the pond so imma go and do some striper fishin'. Then a bike ride and possibly get some stuff done this afternoon before I lose the rest of the week to work. Yesterday was only 250 miles through Maine. Tomorrow it'll be 3 hrs. just to get to the first job, so the co. is putting me up overnight. Yay.
