And The Snark Goes On

Jeez guys, 2+ hours in the AM with no snark, you're all slipping!

I'm having my coffee and getting ready for work. Found out we are out of sugar though at the house, which is a VERY funny story. My dad decided he was going to make Hummingbird feed. Which is just basically simple syrup and red food coloring. However he didn't know what ratio of sugar to water he was supposed to use. The correct ratio is 1:1. The ratio he used was 4:1, I'm fully expecting to see a Wilfred Brimley hummingbird come to his window and tell papa he gave him diabeetus!

I've been a lazy bum this morning, with the exception of some jumping jacks and push ups.

This.

Today is one of my workout days... But i wait until late evening when it has cooled down more. And i dont do any jumping jacks LOL i hate those things and those damned "flutter kicks"

For cardio i run a few days a week, non workout days, and on workout days for cardio i punch the reflex bag at a fast pace and do 4 sets of 50 punches per fist. But sometimes i do quite a bit more that that... My last set hitting the bag is the very last thing i do during the workout and if i dont feel like my arms weigh a hundred pounds and are hard to lift on the last set i keep punching the bag faster and faster until it gets hard to breath or my arms run out of juice.

My workout is just something i put together, and definitely doesnt work every part of my body.... But i never been much into lifting weights and really have no good experience with it.. So i just made up something LMAO I use a Bowflex pr1000, and really that was an impulse buy a few years back because it was on sale for a cheap price because it was an open box/demo model but still in excellent shape. I had stopped using it for quite a long time and i just recently started back using it.

But i basically do

4 sets of 20- bench pressing 100 pounds... Pounds on Bowflex may not be the same as free weights... I dont think they are but like i said i have little experience with free weights.
4 sets of 20 with each arm- curls using 50 pounds
4 sets of 20 with each arm- pulling back like you would when using a bow and holding for a second with 50 pounds, not sure what its called, kind of just added it to strengthen my arms for shooting a bow LOL
4 sets of 25- situps with 100 pounds resistance.

And i throw in some pushups throughout the day. But thats about it.... With this machine there is a LOT more exercises you COULD do.... And i tell myself ill add to my workout eventually.... But yea, you know how that goes LOL

I lost 3 pounds just by reading that!

We went out west when I was 9 years old. Grandma and grandpa had a 1968 Dodge Travco motor home, and mom, dad, and us four kids went. This was 1972. Anyways, we were going through the Navajo Indian reservation, in Arizona. We stopped at a stand, where there was an Indian silversmith, and my dad purchased a hand made, silver and turquoise ring. I've always admired it, and have told my mom for years that I wanted it when she decided to get rid of it. She ended up giving it to me a few weeks ago. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love this ring:

just dropped the kids off at day camp....and it's high tide in the pond so imma go and do some striper fishin'. Then a bike ride and possibly get some stuff done this afternoon before I lose the rest of the week to work. Yesterday was only 250 miles through Maine. Tomorrow it'll be 3 hrs. just to get to the first job, so the co. is putting me up overnight. Yay.

So what you using for bait, fives or twenties? I hear it just depends where your fishing on which if the 2 you should use.......

I do a pushup once a week. :(

12-ounce hammer curls made me the fine physical specimen you see before you today

pretty cool ring Dubz, especially since it was your Dad's. I had this small silver charm with 2 trees and a moon cut out of it... I recently lost it and am pretty upset over it. I'm not much of a jewelry guy but that to me was special because of my love for the outdoors. I'm hoping maybe one day soon it will turn up. I wanted to give it to my daughter. It was handmade and I have not seen anything like it since...

LOL, I just asked my dad how many pushups he could do, he said "Both of them." :D

I once had a guy about your size challenge me to a pushup contest. I cried foul... "That's not fair," says I, "I gotta push twice as much weight twice as far." :D

I just dont get what is so great about high end tactical folders (mainly Sebenzas,Striders and Brous Blades)....I know, to each their own....but to me its just silly to spend that kind of money for a knife that doesnt even look that cool...Now I have seen some very sexy Spydies, Benchmades and DPXs and can see spending 100-150 on one of them (though I could.never afford to myself), but over 300 for a very simple looking framelock seems crazy to me....anyone have one of those fancy knives.that can enlighten me?

Hopefully it will turn up. Not a jewelry guy here either. I wear a wedding band, and that's it.

I could never spend the money personally when there are so many awesome fixed blades out there. But i can see the appeal in some of them... Im not big on most of the blade shapes that Brous uses on his folders, But Todd Begg.... Man he makes some SEXY folders!!!

I do love my Brous Ranger V1 little fixed blade though. I have gotten quite fond of it and its blade shape makes it extremely useful. It took a little getting used to the handle, but now it feels almost natural in my hands. I used it in the woods over the weekend for everything that needed cut except the fire wood. I seen a video, I think it may have been by Gavko, where he uses one to baton with and everything but i wouldnt go that far.... I also seen a video of a guy throwing them... Not sure if ill try that yet though LOL the Ranger version does have a pretty pointy tip so id be worried about chipping it or something.
