Thorny sold me on this one at Blade. Nice little AAA light.

He tried to sell me that one too, that bastard!

<sigh> - he didn't show those to me, and it's a good thing or I'd have been even MORE broke after the event.

mixing PB in the sauce that you use as a glaze would be quite yummy.

my cheater Satay recipe: 3tbs PB, 1 tbs soy sauce, 1 heaping tbs crushed garlic, 1 tbs sriracha -- mix together and paint on chicken.

Awesome thanks.

I have a jar of ghost pepper salsa in my fridge that I can't seem to finish. I try to pretty often. I think it's called Mrs renfords or something.

Mrs Renfro's is OK, The Original Juan's "Da Bomb" sauce has better flavor IMHO.

try a teaspoon if it mixed in a jar of alfredo sauce -- makes a great "angry" primavera sauce

There are a couple pretty decent small pizza places here, thankfully. But as far as chains go, I gotta say my fave is Papa Murphy's. It's a take'n'bake... the crust is fairly decent, the sauce ain't bad, and they actually seem to use real, fresh ingredients... and they are not skimpy with 'em. Price comes out quite a bit cheaper than most, too.

It works out well when the wife calls on her way home and warns me, "Screw this fouled-up day; I ain't cookin' tonight, I'm grabbin' a PM. Warm up the oven if you wanna eat tonight." Yup, I can handle that :D

I concur! We really like to pick up one of their one topping faves and dress it up a bit with jalapeños, mushrooms or whatever else we have on hand before popping it in the oven.

Noted! You might appreciate our homemade habanero sauce as well as the little lady's homemade salsas.

Or... just roll the sumbiscuit up like a giant floppy greasy burrito and scarf it down like a college kid on a weed binge. Sometimes that works, too :D

dammit! I just about coughed out a joi...er, lung I was laffin' so hard. We had this place at school (in the way frozen north of NY state) called Jreck's that pre-did that and called it a "pizza roll". Loaf of pizza dough with a gut bomb inside. Super buzz-kill, too - with beer, anyway - it was like eating an alcohol sponge. Luckily, I don't really remember the taste of them....which really wasn't the point of eating them in the first place. Just like LC's pizza. IMO, there are LOTS of worse things you could eat for 5 bucks - and few better.

This brings back memories of my sophomore year at Texas A&M. I was in the Corps and Band, and as a sophomore (aka pisshead in Aggiespeak) if your grades were up to snuff, you could have 1 night out during the week (had to be back by 10 p.m.). Back then there was a pizza chain called Pizza Hut. Don't know if they're still around elsewhere but they seem to have died out in Texas. Anyway, they had "all you can eat" pizza nights for $3 on Tuesdays and pitchers for $1.50. A bunch of us would hit the place around 1800 and eat pizza and drink beer until 2100 and then the designated driver(s) would drive us back to the dorm.

The place only ran that deal for a couple of months before raising the prices on both to $5 and $3. (Minimum wage was $2/hr, legal drinking age was 18 and most of us didn't have jobs.)

On the light front, have any of you tried out the 4sevens MMR-X? That looks interesting. So far I've been using the Fenix LD-12. I like being able to use AA batteries, but having my light be micro-USB compatible sounds pretty okay.

So this was found on the other side of town in a pond. They believe the mother is also in the area. The professionals say that they could have been here for years and could have hibernated through the harsh winter we had.

I didn't know state cops hibernated. That's fascinating.

Dexwithers' Awesome Sauce coming at you!!!

I took this around 7:30 tonight so the sun was down a bit. Really a great gift Dex!

Thanks!!!

Btw,
What is the handle made out of?

That's all they do around here:D Not really, I happen to think we have some pretty cool LEOs around here. The state boys and city cops are great but there are a few wealthier townships/suburbs that have bullies with nothing better to do than harass people.

Looks like dinner and a nice sheath in a convenient package.

I will second this and add that I would polish the bones and mount them or use some for soup. They found one up here too in a local park, I'm guessing it was somebodies pet and it grew a little big. Pity I didn't find it first.

So my daughter was looking at my wifes small hiking pack, and asked what the fire steel was, and what it was for. I took it down, turned off the lights in the bathroom, and fired some sparks into the sink with it, after a brief explination of what it was.
You would have thought it was the fourth of July all over again the way she reacted. ...lol Then she said in very serious kid mode, "We need to go camping soon daddy. Seiwiouswy!" .....God love her.
