Is was like that here a few years ago. I remember mowing the yard twice in the spring, and the grass was completely brown the rest of the season. It sucked. Every time a storm headed our way, it would either dissipate, or break in two as it was crossing the Mississippi River valley. I remember taking some photos of a mini folder I have, when it was bad. Here's one of the photos. The grass was completely dry:

Nice leather work Todd!!

710 you guys are welcome to some of our rain. We been getting hit pretty good in the evenings/late night. Have fun on your adventure!!!

Warrior, how many tries does it take you to open that mini folder? I can imagine your huge fingers trying to grab that wee little blade and getting pissed off... Maybe growling at it or something LMAO

Thats a neat little mini folder Warrior, and that grass looks like a grass fire waiting to happen lol. I have a couple tiny little slip joints put away I acquired as a kid from my grandfather. They are just about that size. When he gave them to me he demonstrated their edge by plucking a hair from his head and whittling it. I had 3 but I gave 1 to my oldest sister when she got married (no telling where it is now) and the other I tried give to my other sister when she got married, but she told me to keep it for her cause I would take better care of it LOL!

Just once, haha. It has a slit in the blade to open it, just like most folders do. An old girlfriend bought me that years ago.

This will actually shave the hair off your arm. I've never sharpened it, just came that way. It's kind of a cool little knife. It was originally on a chain, for a necklace:

Next to my biggest folder, an old military machete:

THAT sounds way cool. Ghost towns are always so neat to explore; more so if it's been locked away from vandals for a while. Have fun!

And again sweet machete. Those are very cool. While we are sharing photos I just took a few of some of my acquisitions. All were found at the local flea market except the small paring knife. That was a work issued blade to a postal worker back in the day that I acquired awhile back. All carbon steel except the case butcher. The case takes an extremely keen edge too though, and keeps it well! Plus the handle is awesome. The green river has been in my pocket since I fixed it up! Its a killer blade, I am very impressed. All are a lot of fun!

Im not going anywhere :p

Caught me in the middle of an edit :P

I'm not used to being as sleep deprived as I have been the past few days. My body wants more then 4hours but I just haven't been able to get it. I may go to bed the same time as my kids tonight.

Shows up every day at 5PM in the pond behind the house. I'm wondering if it tastes like chicken...

Behind me where the water level is and where I am pointing to is where the water line should be. There's a life gaurd tower at the tip of my finger.

My wife and I have a relationship as such that "if the cabin is a rockin'" it means, "we got suckered by the relator/previous owner and the foundation is messed up."

I got a similar, less "relationship-y" sort of.....relationship...with mine. Yours still sounds like more fun, tho.

I was gonna ask if you'd ever been able to open it......

This was all the answer I needed. Forgive me, but that is the funniest non-GIMPed photo I have seen in a while.

To be fair, I have a Spyderco Ladybug (in H1!) that is about the same size....but it doesn't make my hands look like a special effect.

Hope you're having a fun "weekend".
