BTW: Once I'm back on my feet I plan on buying an RC6. [...] I spent some years in California and basically did survival trips in the Emigrant Wilderness next to Yosemite National Forest. I did a lot of trips into Yosemite, but all of the National Forest Rules applied, no shelter building, fires, or even handguns for protection, or plinking.
I would love it if there was a 9-10" bladed RAT model, I would get a couple of those.
I'd like an rc-6 too, but I just got an rc-5 because it's under the blade limit for Texas (5.5 inches), awesome, and had everything i could have dreamed of in a survival knife. I had a really awesome african simi-knife (it's a double bladed machete with a red buffalo hide handle and sheath that i got from a masai warrior/tribesmen), but my ex got her dirty little hands on it. Looking at the quality and craftsmanship of RAT knives :jerkit: , I think a machete or something similar to a simi-knife would really be popular and provide a great product for those in need/want. With rat's jungle-training, I'm surprised they don't already have one, but it's impractical to carry a machete around unless you are actually planning on going into the jungle/bush.
nice shelter btw. i might have to make one when i go hunting with my rat-5![]()
Welcome to the family! As a note, the ":jerkit:" is not a chin-scratching smily, but rather intended as a rude gesture. It causes some confusion, however, as your post exemplifies.![]()
