Another one of my BM's edge is toast.

Don't just give in like that man.... pork ! what about bacon bits?? lmao

I would still like to see normal pictures though...

I'll be honest, I'm very experienced with spotting trends, the economy, stocks etc. I'll tell you what I'm getting from this thread...

1. The economy is slowing down. Extra disposable income is lower.
2. Because of this, the demand for things like "extra knives" etc is going down.
3. "Pork" people own LOTS of Busse's. Because of the laws of supply & demand your investment is going down rapidly. There is a great supply, but little new demand.
4. You are trying to protect the brand image at all costs to protect your investments and try to keep the demand there (there is already a glut of supply).
5. Because of this, you "Pork" people attack me because I could be taking away future earnings of yours.

-sorry about that, it was not my intention. So I'll add this for you...
"Never mind any of my posts, I don't know jack about knives or Busses. I was ignorant and wrong! Busses are the BEST knife ever."
---Now you can be safe knowing your investments are secure :>) ---

Thanks David! That's knife abuse like I like it!!! Could you possibly get out your microscope cam and show us the infinitesimal edge damage? Oh wait, 20 min. on a stone and it's back to slicing wedding cake again. Love those pics!

Well, it's either that or maybe our experiences just honestly dictate that knife edges tend to suffer damage when they impact abrasive materials like dirt and this isn't something that Busses are immune to.

Best regards from a guy who doesn't recall ever selling a single Busse knife to anyone, at any price, ever.

Lycosa, Do you actually think I'm scared of a internet forum?? I'll tell you what, I'll pay for a airplane ticket for you to come here. No joke....I'll pay 100% of the costs. We'll have a nice fight match (legal of course) and we'll video tape the results for everyone on this forum to see how tough you really are. PM me if your interested and I'll get the ticket for you (round trip of course) tonight. If no video is ever posted, then we know that Lycosa backed down.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with Koolaid drinking sheep. Sorry :>( My last post on this thread.

thefith, I only had a scanner at the office. So no pic... Cell phone can not pick up the details.

I looked through some of this guy's earlier posts on this forum and I didn't smell 'troll' which is why I commended Ban for actually trying to address his problem. I don't know what he's up to here. He even picked up one of Koyote's blades, a maker I have come to admire after handling one of his blades.

Are you serious:confused: Man, no desrespect, but it just doesn't do any good to loose your temper or challange people on the net.

Just send the knife back to Busse and they'll fix it. You can then sell it or keep it, but it will be made right.
Everything will be OK.

In my experience, privateisland, these knives are tough. I had a Dogfather that was defective (see sig line) and we all saw the flaw. Scrapyard replaced it. (Notice I didn't do any trash-talkin' about the knives not being so tough!)

I chopped a near-petrified ancient 2x4 with a FBM that had an edge I had thinned. The leading edge became a little wavy, but straightened with a decent stropping. IMHO, the "E" series has an excellent heat-treat. If yours rolled with just 2x4 chopping, I would send it in to Busse.

What you are seeing here is the general opinion that "somethin' ain't right." Trolls have been frequenting this forum of late, so it is easy to jump to the conclusion that the problem is you. If the problem is with the knife, return shipping to Busse is waaay cheaper than an airline ticket and ass-whippin.

In any case, there is nothing wrong with the "brand," as experienced by the great majority here.

I think privateisland totally misinterpreted Lycosa's meaning and now this thread has gone from silly to ridiculous.

privateisland, I think what it boils down to is you've set unrealistic expectations of what sort of abuse hard use knives should be able to take.

I think your best bet is to relax, adjust your expectations so they're in line with reality and discontinue your threats against this fine community. Nobody here is out to get you.

I did wonder why, if you were truly posting for the reasons you originally stated and if you were as "experienced" as you claimed, you were so "disappointed" in the performance of your BM-E.

It's a knife. You struck dirt/pebbles while chopping. The edge took a few minor rolls/dents. The picture you posted doesn't even show the dings extending much into the edge bevel. This is everyday stuff for someone who uses a knife hard. To say you were going to dump all your Busse's because of this minor "damage" (and I really think that would be referred to more as "evidence of use" than "damage") just doesn't seem to be a response that's proportional to the experience.

Now I'm starting to wonder if, with a good supply of INFI on the Exchange Forum, someone may be trying to start a little "run"? As in, let's see if we can move the market in a negative way and pick up a little cheap INFI?

Because the "investment" rationale in the above post is just as out-of-whack proportionally as your original claim that your "edge is toast". That edge hasn't even been worked hard--and the knife is far from "toast", unless you have no access to a sharpening stone and can't afford the postage to send it back in to Wauseon.

In combination, your original wording and feigned disappointment together with the above suggestion that somehow INFI's value is falling like toxic securities, bring me to respond by saying this: I have a little investment experience myself, and if the trend is toward uncertainty in the market, the best possible investment is in tangible, rare commodities. I happen to prefer INFI to gold.

LOL--"protect the brand image". That's a riot. If I had to name one product I've experienced in my lifetime that does not need "image protection" it would have to be Busse Combat Knives.

Private---Grimspoon said it right. Look, Busse will take care of you. My fight'n dayz are over. Heck, I only own one Warden, with a Red handle! :)

No time to reply to this. If you'll excuse me, I've got some INFI futures to count.

Bwahahahahaha!!! World domination will be MINE!

Ahhh... the heart of the matter finally emerges. All it took was a little prod. :p

Whaddya want to bet this ain't the last post on this subject? Remember though... I've got all that INFI hoarded, so I can lay down one heckuva bet. :D
