Looking to add a fixed blade to the edc rotation, plan on carrying it on my belt horizontally in the small of my back so kydex is a must, also I want a knife I can get all four fingers around l, my izula is a little small handle wise, but blade length is about right.
I want to keep it around a 3"-3.5" blade and I want something that will slice better than the izula. This won't be a heavy duty pry bar but a slicey tool for everyday tasks.

Steel should be be somewhat stainless, d2 and the like is great as is 440c ect. Budget around $150 or less, less being better.
A custom would be great but not sure what I can get for that price.

I like the looks of the boker krein pocket Bowie, but not sure the handle is long enough and they are now discod. Basically looking for a fixed blade Ffg delica size wise.

So any suggestions?

Just keep looking here in the Exchange. I have gotten several top quality knives from outstanding knife makers here. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/754-For-Sale-Fixed-Blades

Also keep an eye out here. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/748-For-Sale-Custom-Knives-(Individual)

Here is an example of one that should be delivered to my house tomorrow. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1384837-Light-EDC-3-3-quot-in-AEB-L-C-tek

Be patient, and you will surely find an awesome small fixed blade. Best of luck!

Sorry if this doesn't meet criteria.. Just showing. Cold Steel. Razor sharp cuts through anything!

It's not in your stated range, but if you can squeeze another fifty bucks, the Dawson Pocket Knife is a great tool. They're now supporters of BF it seems, so I'll post the link here (mods, correct me if I'm wrong).

These show up in the exchange sometimes and can be found in the various auction sites. It's worth saving up for, I think.

I'd say Izula II if you didn't say you wanted a better slicer. Have a look at the White River Backpacker or Caper (S30V); there's also always the D'Eskabar in D2. Not stainless, but the ESEE 3 or TOPS Scandi Trekker are coated 1095 blades that hold up pretty well.

This is, of course, prime (semi-)custom territory, which might be a bit above your budget, but not by much. You could also try to get your hands on a Spyderco Mule and put scales on that.

Ultimately, I recommend the White River options. I have a Backpacker, and it was my main EDC blade for a good half a year. It never let me down.

Just keep, checking exchange, good deals. I saw a Aistin Goldman in individual custom section of the exchange, good price, and 1095 steel and the guard modded to be less pronounced. Good luck and let us know what you get.

I second the Mule. Very customizable, and making scales isn't really hard to do. Buy a sheath for it from one of the makers here on BF. Very slicey looking, and all kinds of steels.

Take a look at the Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter. It is a pretty good slicer and about the size of the Izula II.

I gotta say, I'm a real big fan of this knife. VG-10 like the Delica you mentioned. Nice flat grind. Razor sharp edge out the box. Nice slim Kydex sheath. Lightweight. Fantastic ergonomics. The Fred Perrin design really lends itself well to my hand. I love the Bowie shape. I've pretty much been carrying this fixed blade exclusively a good while now. I really like it. I highly recommend the Spyderco Street Beat.

If the handle length doesn't bother you too much, Knife Center is selling sterile D2 Becker BK24's for $43 shipped. I'm going to try fitting Izula II scales to it when my comes in.

Spyderco Street Beat meets most of those criteria. Price, size, stainless, etc.

I was actually looking for something similar and ended up looking for a custom, but my price range was a little higher.

Some great suggestions so far, I really like that ekt companion. The street beat is a maybe, love the blade but the handle looks odd, also it's a bit pricey for a production knife, I feel like I would rather have a custom for that money.
The tops Trekker looks nice as well, a little large but it might be ok.

BJE, the handle is a bit strange but it feels absolutely right in the hand. Fred Perrin, the designer, knows a thing or two about a thing or two when it comes to edged tools and putting them to real use. And if you shop around, I'm pretty sure you can find one within your price range. I can't say enough good things about it.

the Bradford Guardian3 is within $10 of your top line, but it does come with M390 steel and is a better slicer than almost any other knife its size I've owned. You should be able to find one under $150 on the exchange.

the Becker BK24 is a D2-steeled neck knife that's got an ESEE Izula handle and a FFG blade, should fit your budget a lot better.

Always liked the street beat, one day.
