Any good small edc fixed blade reccomendations?

But that's what he asked for. The Izula was too thick for him.

What is it with you sharpened slab guys? Knives are meant to cut.

Not too mention I wouldnt give Strider a penny of my money with his reputation and colored past. YMMV.

Nap, I do like the white river caper, it's a viable option, but I don't love the aesthetics as much as the ekt companion, honestly the companion looks like the perfect knife, if it were only available now, but I haven't gotten an email back from the maker so I don't know when it will be.

The little bush from shaerky is another good option, would like to see a pic of it in hand first and I am kinda holding out until I hear back about the companion.
Just looking at all my options before I pull the trigger on one.

Fallkniven kolt is an excellent knife and the steel is phenomenal stuff. Takes an edge like a laser & is easy to maintain it as well

Small Finnish puukko's make excellent pocket fixed blades. Both of these are in the 13-16 cm overall lenght range. Downside is that you might have to make your own sheath, Roselli standard sheath is good as it is.

No doubt. I own both a Backpacker and a Companion, and the Companion's been around my neck almost 24/7 since I got it. If you can wait, I would absolutely recommend that over anything else. (It is a bit smaller than you originally asked for, but I promise you won't notice the difference.)

It'll be a few months at least, though, and Brian's Indiegogo campaign to fund the next run is still about $4,000 short with two weeks left. I definitely encourage you to contribute, even if you buy something else in the meantime—the knife really is that good, and Brian's a good guy trying to get started while (openly) weathering a ton of shit. It's definitely worth the wait, regardless.

White river knives caper hands down!!! Love mine! An everything knife, very comfy in hand, great steel, great sheath, and very well thoughts it design!

First thing that popped in my head was the Boker cross draw. I also would look at the custom knife makers here on the forum.

The sheath is definitely one of its best features. A very simple but elegant design, and oh-so-flat. Whether you use the included belt loop or hang it around your neck, it'll never print. (Okay, the Caper might print in some circumstances, because handle scales.)

EDIT: Sorry, misread "in hand" as "on hand." No, but here's one with an Izula for comparison.

Thanks nap, how does it compare to the izula in slicing ability? I find the izulas blade stock a little thick to make it a good slicer.

What I use in the mountain.

Skeletonized knives are very underrated.

Pretty much any one of them of a reputable brand will work wonders.

Which Roselli is this?

Well, you guys talked me into a nice white river knives caper in green and orange G10. Won it on the big auction site for less than $145 shipped, tried to get one from white river website and a few other blind venders first but they were sold out everywhere.
Also picked up an wonderful little cold steel double agent II at the PX for $25 today, it will hold me over til the caper comes in and while a little overly tactical looking for my tastes, it's a thin and mean little slicer, very well made for the price paid.

Thanks for all the help, I will post a review of the caper when I get it and put it through its paces for a bit.

Will probably pick up a ekt companion when they are available as well, got the edc fixed blade bug and really enjoying carrying them over my usual folders for a change.

Great find, looking forward to your thoughts on it, and pics if possible.

Nice! The White River lineup is undersold and not reviewed enough; I think you'll be happy with the thinner stock in S30V. And yes, if you like the Caper, you'll love the Companion.
