and I own a case/colt collaboration for the 175th anniversary of colt in smooth bone but i seem to not have any photos of that one..... Ill have to remedy that.

That is a really beautiful Trapper . There is just something about the Case '54 that speaks to me . Add those chestnut bone scales and it's like grand slam home run .

Thanks, This was a gift from my dad and the original scales were lighter, but I cracked the shield side and they replaced them for me. I honestly was pretty nervous about how they would look but they ended up being better than the original.
 
A while back I was jonesin' for a yellow Case (I had the ubiquitous knock off, yellow, dull, fishing / mumblety peg knife as a youth).
I settled on a Trapper to scratch that particular itch...

Trappers rule. Here's a 2-blade Wharncliffe trapper from the underrated(IMHO) and uber-talented Mike Zscherny.

These are antique scales, and the knife is wonderful to handle. The wharncliffe trapper is a fantastic blade combination for a daily carry, youre gonna dig it.
I prefer the wharnie to a spade any day as a primary blade, but I'll like a spade as a third.
