Any news about Maher & Grosh?

A question for people who have the cc rider 86 harness jack and these new m&g,does the m&g have the same solid heft that you feel with the 86 cc hj.are does it feel lighter.
In-hand they feel the same to me but in reality, the CC wood Rider weighs 3.77 ounces and the M&G Cocco Spear weighs 3.63 ounces... I don't have a bone CC to weigh, but... my M&G bone Fed shield weighs 4.09 ounces! The M&G bone Spear shield weighs 4.06 ounces! M&G's weigh more from my sampling... but interpret that data how you want.

That seems equal to cc rider hj in bone.

It is a wash... the red ones are 3.77-3.84. A HJ is a HJ is an HJ. You want to talk useability, the nicks are better :) Ease of carry? I have a 86 with a clip and a nick that's 1.7 ounces. Heft is not a plus sometimes - like most of the time.

If you like anchors though, look for a GEC 23 2-blade Northfield in Primitive Bone... I think that one weighed 1 million pounds.

Not really seeking boat anchors lol,but to be honest alot of my latest purchases many which were case and boker ,I found them ideal pocket carry for most tasks,so it was nice to get the 86 harness jack to compliment .I was using the hj to tune-up my snow blower and was great cutting fuel lines and thick rubber Matt used to cover we're rock had chewed the sides.it is a work knife as they say.but that doesn't mean I won't hunt down a 23,72,74 and any other big boy, because I probably will lol.

Yeah I already carry an 86... so I am trying to figure which HJ to start messing up... a red one is a no brainer because I love a nick... I have both red ones.

I'm really wanting the 35 hj forum knife,I prefer the awl as a second option,it is great for cleaning the bbq and smoker grill.i only need one blade so if the second is a cap Lifter or an awl,I'm in.

Yeah, that's a seriously beautiful knife... I have some 35's and I just dislike no half-stops on most GEC... WOW, yeah. I have been tempted to make jokes about how useless a punch would be but I could use it for two grills like you said. Great suggestion. Should be a perfect tool for that especially with the sharp edge!

And the beveled side of the awl rides across the top of each grate and sharp side scrapes the sides.it worked to perfection.and half stops should be on all gec.are you saying the 35 doesn't have half stops.

No, they shouldn't.

No the 35 doesn't have half stops, and I believe the white owl doesn't either.

No the white doesn't have it,actually the 2 case whittler I have don't either. To be honest the half stop is more for fidget entertainment for me, I use my pant leg alot of the time for closing my knifes.but I thought in the utube video the cattle knifes had half stops.but I have half stops in my cap lifter and harness jacks and 34 forum knife, but not the white owl.there is a time and place for both.

Mine don't... I have a Cattle Knife and a Johnny on the Spot whatever knife. Not glassy smooth so forgivable like my 81 and 82 either... just my tastes. Gimme a equal end or round ends type symmetrical jack with stops though... I love 54's and similar, 78's, you name it.
