Any news on the Para-Military 2?

Cameo and black does sound real nice!!

I wonder why spyderco doesnt stonewash its blades. The ti mil and para2 would be sweet in stonewashed finishes.
 
I really like the improvments made. I will be getting one of these Para 2 knives.

It would add to the overall cost. It's just another step that would have to be done and there are time constraints involved, time = money.

I was actually thinking about this too, I would love to see a Military with the saem finish as the MT06.

Stonewashed finishes are great on user knives. It looks a lot better than bead blasted and lasts longer but it is only marginally better than the satin and DLC finishes currently employed IMO.

Do you think it costs more to stone wash a blade than it does to DLC coat it?
 
This is the Spyderco I've been holding out for as long as I can remember! Just watched a a youtube video on it, love everything about it! I'm buying two of these when they come out!

Have you used the CTS-XHP? I'm still waiting to read how it performs under hard use. It seems most posts I read about it, it has only been lightly used.
 
I say CTS XHP because of this:

-nozh2002's results making it the best steel ever in his opinion. (Lotsa controversy over those tests though)
-It being (probably) cheaper and finer grained than S30V-because SxxV aren't very finegrained, and from the comparative prices of the 2 Manix2 Sprints, the XHP was cheaper.
-Because I like being cool :p

My ideal job for Para2 is to be reground to scalpel duty. I like the Mili platform, only it's a little too big; I like the complock when I tried it, and the Para seems to be the right proportions-a little over Delica size.
 
I hope orange will be offered at some point. If the knife is as good as I think it'll be, I'll get one black AND one orange to keep my orange Military company :)
