Any thoughts on how to make the Practical Tactical forum better?

Practical Tactical has always been an essentially unmoderated forum -- originally Bob Taylor was the nominal moderator, but he chose not to do any moderating. Many of the members were happy with that; others moved to moderated forums.

We have had moderated tactical forums in the past (in addition to Practical Tactical, not instead of it) and it's possible we might open a new one in the future, but I don't foresee Practical Tactical ever becoming a moderated forum. No doubt some people would like that, but they could be just as pleased with a separate moderated forum without disturbing the denizens of Practical Tactical.

I wouldn't doubt there have been twerps as bad as Holierthanthou and worse in Practical Tactical; in fact I can remember some from when I used to be active in that forum. That's the nature of an unmoderated forum; there will be twerps. Some people like unmoderated forums anyway.
