Any Winkler fans?

Many blades have come and gone over the years, but I have a couple Winklers that have found a permanent home in my collection.

Having issues posting a pic from Flickr. If someone could assist, that would be 👍. I can email the pic.
Go to postimages.org, upload your pic, and copy/paste the “hotlink for forums”

Oh man, a Williams-Winkler collab. Very nice, and yes, that is a puddle of drool on my shirt.

I’ve been checking on this thread regularly for a couple years now, but told myself if I bought a Winkler it was going to be something to carry regularly for daily use.
Well…I finally broke down and ordered my first one today. 👍

Great choice, Lee - I bet you'll end up carrying that SD2 regularly.

What are your first impressions?

Congrats btw…
I haven’t used it much yet, but it carries nicely and is very well made.
Arrived very sharp, and is a solid choice if you’re in the market for a edc fixed blade.
Especially if you aren’t attracted to G10 scales and the latest stainless steel. It has an “old school” feel about it.

Well, after trying various ways to carry this knife, I decided on an improvement for my personal needs…I removed the clip. I prefer to carry a smaller fixed blade in my pocket (this particular model in my front right). I used the supplied hardware for retention, and it works like a charm.

The paddle holster my Operator came with is big enough for a .38. On the lookout for a slim leather envelope sheath. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Here’s a starting point.
