Slight update on the Winkler I recently bought, I noticed the first 3/4” of the walnut scales kept drying out on one side, so I took a look at the sheath. The inside of it was sticky (I’m assuming it has to do with the lining), so I gave them a call yesterday. I explained the situation, the model I had, and that I’d already sharpened it so sending it back to DLT was in no way an option. “Is this covered by a warranty or do I need to just buy another sheath?” That wouldn’t have been a problem, but the nice lady on the phone apologized several times and told me they’d have a replacement in the mail asap. Lengthy post, but I thought I’d give a shout out to Winkler for standing behind their product.

I have a leather pocket sheath from TKC coming tomorrow, but it’ll be nice to have the factory sheath as an option as well.

Speaking of Winklers…have y’all seen the new Operator special edition for Sig Legion members?

Any Legion members on the forum?

Anyone have or know if the blue ridge hunter can be carried inside the waistband in that leather sheath it comes in?

It can but the sheath is quite bulky. It also has really good retention which is normally great but it can be a pain in the ass to put the knife back once you've drawn it. I got a leather pouch sheath with a clip for waistband carrying my BRH and it works great.

Depends on what's comfortable to you or not, no different than carrying a firearm inside the waistband.

I frequently carry a Belt Knife inside and outside the waistband depending on clothing with no issues.

I carry g26 and p365x IWB so Im used to it. Good to know about the belt knife, because the sheath for the BRH looks more cumbersome than a kydex holster. Appreciate the info

I carry my Crusher Belt Knife AIWB daily.
I had a kydex sheath made for it for this purpose because I was worried about condensation. The kydex is less bulky and is more streamlined - works great and is comfortable.
The sheath it comes with is excellent for OWB.
