Any Winkler fans?

Here’s a different one. It’s extremely light, compact and people who own them feel they are versatile.

As my Winkler collection has continued to expand, I finally convinced my wife to grant me some shelf space in our den. I would like some input on potential background options as it seems too sterile as is. I'm thinking mabe some reclaimed barn wood. I am also thinking maybe some pea gravel underneath this display.

I found the celt in a creek on our Indiana farm as a small child and have kept it in a safe for several years; the drift wood was collected from the banks of the Ohio river here in Louisville. I am planning to add around 5 more blades, 2 hatchets, and as always, looking for a user SD2.

It would be great to hear some ideas from the Winkler base. Thanks in advance!

Old barn wood and axes/edged tools go well together. I’m looking at building an axe rack. Here is one of my areas with an accumulation of stuff. Line those cubby holes with cedar or whatever wood looks good to you. Also look at shelving contact paper, they have it in many colors/designs. Maybe find some that is wood grain look. I would not bother with any pea gravel, but that it your call there. Maybe some wood chips instead, saw dust or shavings. It’s not an aquarium 😉IMG_6558.jpeg

I guess I will have to go back and take a better look. I am looking for a knife and axe (hatchet) with matching wood handles.

Temporary solution: print off pictures of other forum member's Winklers and use them as wallpaper.

There's a lot of fantastic pictures in this thread. A thread that makes me jealous and sad as I have yet to obtain a Winkler.

Medical bills are paid off.

One is on my list!
