No hair trimming. It's in case I drop the soap, just poke the soap and pick it up!If you're trimming your butt-hair in the shower with it:![]()
I have a similar setup in the car for a different reason - I make frequent trips to places that don't allow concealed firearms, but there's really no parking lot security other than a guy with a cell phone at one of them. So, I carry a Matriarch in the console, and when I lock my handgun up I replace the PM2 I usually carry with the Matriarch. It isn't a gun, but it opens quick and is more suited to defensive rather than offensive use, which might be a handy piece of information for my attorney should I ever need to use it.I have a Spyderco with a serrated blade in the car where it can easily be accessed from the driver's seat in case a seatbelt needs to be cut. I also have a multitool in the glove box and a fixed blade by the spare tire.
Other than that I prefer to load bags as I grab them.
I love how movies/TV tries to trick criminals by telling them lies - for example, in the second Boondock Saints they claim that the suspects used ammonia, therefore there was no DNA. Ammonia's effectively just strong soap, it won't remove blood unless you scrub it. In that example, the Saints got shot while standing near some yard bushes, and the sprayed the bushes with ammonia - no scrubbing, no rinsing, and they didn't bother spraying the ground.Bleach wipes away DNA residue...
Pretty much the same here, but there is a set of heavy duty barber scissors in the bathroom and an old timey straight edge razor. Having looked at this thread I now have the strange compulsion to stash a budget folder in a bathroom drawer though...anyone else now feeling like they need a knife in there?Yes, everywhere, but the bathroom basically. Most of them are in tool rolls, but then they are also in bags, backpacks, travel kit, first aid kit, camping kits, shed, workshop, deck, bedside table, desk, sock drawer.
I knew I forgotten one, there is a Mnandi in my drawer in the bathroomPretty much the same here, but there is a set of heavy duty barber scissors in the bathroom and an old timey straight edge razor. I have fixed blades in every other room, mostly Moraknivs at the work stations and sheds where other people will use them too, and budget folders too. I like doing that as it gets other people using them without me worrying about them doing terrible things to an expensive knife. There's a pioneer kit in the trunk that includes a big blade. The kitchen folder gets rotated the most, because it's used to process packaging, to save the blades on the chef knives for meal prep. I just hate the idea of owning all these knives to find myself anywhere on the property wishing there was a sharpy and pointy tool handy.
I have axes in five different places, including next to my desk, where there's also a machete in easy reach (nice to go from desk to doing yardening in short order). Like others have mentioned, I have flashlights in every room, including the outlet plug-in ones that automatically turn on when the power goes out. It's something you do when you grew up somewhere where power outages happen during storms a lot.
Girlfriend: "Is there a knife in this room?"
Me looking about smiling: "No..."
Girlfriend: "Wait. How many knives are there in this room?"
Having a monster chopper in the bathroom is only good for when you do a bit: pretending to shave when someone walks in on you.Bathroom knife?

Am I the only one?
It took a while to figure out the best knife for the bathroom. The Ka-Bar BK2 took up a bit too much drawer space and might be a bit too easy for nosy houseguests to trip over. The Mora Eldris was a strong contender, but came with a Ferro rod that could be problematic if used in the bathroom under certain circumstances. The Black Tusk Bomber and SOG Terminus XR were both under serious consideration, but it was felt that D2 and showers weren't a good mix. Finally a contender emerged: the CRKT Pilar in 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and G10/steel handle. Most importantly it gives a knife purpose that is unlikely to find much in the way of pocket time.
They aren't that light. I have 3V Master Tanto. A Spyderco Perrin Street Bowie has the blade size, black coat, and much lighter weight... and the rubberized handle with a much easier and faster draw from the standard sheath. YMMV.![]()
Made from Griv-Ex - the latest in fiberglass reinforced plastic - Cold Steel's FGX Nightshade series knives are UV and heat stabilized to make them incredibly durable. The handles of these unusual knives are made from deeply checkered Kray-Ex that’s molded directly onto the blade tangs. This offers a slightly tacky-feeling textured surface that will give you a decisive and secure grip whatever the weather.
Cold Steel's FGX Nightshade blades are unaffected by moisture. They never rust, warp, crack or split even in the most challenging environments. They are light enough to be tied, tucked, or taped just about anywhere, and, since they are unaffected by all but the most extreme heat and cold, they are a natural choice for concealed storage both inside and outside of your house - from hedges and flowerpots, to the refrigerator or the shower!
Not much to offer here. Everyone says I can't cook, and I'm a lousy lay!Need a roommate?![]()

The bathroom folder in the drawer isn't that weird. That's one of the places I would not have a knife in the pocket since it is probably in a tray downstairs with keys and wallet. There are scissors etc in the drawer but I still use the Spyderco pretty often for opening packages, cutting cellophane off pill bottles or whatever product, those plastic rings around the necks of vitamin bottles.Pretty much the same here, but there is a set of heavy duty barber scissors in the bathroom and an old timey straight edge razor.
