In a nutshell:
Sent my knife plus $$ in P.P. for a CF sheath and scales a few months ago, initially heard back in a few emails, but now after a few emails inquiring how the work is coming along, I receive no reply's.
Sure, some have taken on more work then they can handle, but to not reply back is not a good sign.

Any one have a good or bad experience with Eric Yakush of 'Shepard Custom Creations' a.k.a. shepardcustomconceal.wix.com/shepard-cc ??

I just completed a transaction with him. He's a busy guy and may take a few days to respond, but he's solid. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Thanks for letting me know your experience Armadew, much appreciated.
As I am aware of, often people take on a lot of work and it may take awhile which I don't have a problem with, but when emails start to go unanswered, that's when it's time to be concerned.

I payed for a scale about two weeks ago, and cannot get a response back from him. I was under the impression the scale was complete. Guess not. If I don't hear back soon I will file a refraction with PayPal. All I ask for is communication. I sent about 4 emails, and have heard nothing back. Kind of annoying.
 
Eric is one of the good guys, I've dealt with him many times. He is busy yes but this silence isn't like him...I hope he's ok.

I've been in contact tact with him for the past 2.5 months or so (since he's had a knife of mine). Always good about communication.. knife got finished nearly 2 weeks ago and it's just now in the mail.

I think he's been under the weather this past week, also suffering from migraines.
Eric does tremendous work..well worth being patient for. He will get back with you soon I'm sure.
 
Emails go pretty much unanswered, received ONE very brief reply last month.
1. He has my knife.
2. He has the money for the scales.
3. He has money for the sheath.

Original turn around time quoted "4 to 6" weeks.... it's now been about 3 months.

I sent another email last week, no response.
Honestly at this point, if I ever get my knife back, I would not do any business with him again.
And am going to file a claim in PayPal if there's still no communication this week to recoup my $ for the sheath and scales.
Probably will lose my knife.

I'm about a month and a half in on a the PM2 backspacer I ordered from him. (End of March) It was my bad requesting a material he'd have to order, so any delay isnt entirely on his hands. I hope you see progress soon, he'll chime in.

I'm sorry if I didn't reply to your email. Lots of reasons for this. Sometimes it goes to spam. Sometimes I just don't get the email.
Either way I'd never screw someone over.
If my memory serves me correctly this is for sale sheath for a Swick yes? Then a few weeks later you wanted scales for it too? Black g10 with orange liners? I forget the pattern.
Sorry I've been down the last 5 days with a severe migraine headache that makes doing anything impossible. Light and sounds intensify it so bad it's really not bearable. So needless to say I don't do anything and I can barely think. But anyways if that's the one it will be done in the next few days. So please send me a pm here next time if I don't respond to email. Also pm me if that's the correct order. Swick. What pattern in the g10.

I'm sorry to hear about your migraines, but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to receive and respond to emails. Just check your spam folder every couple days, it's very easy to do. As for "just not getting" emails, that might have been an issue back in the early pioneer days of email, but not in 2016. Barring very unusual circumstances, if someone sends an email to you (a Yahoo account), you're going to receive it.

Just sent you an email, don't know where they are going, if you can just click 'reply' and let me know if you received the email that would be much appreciated.
Swick2 --> Black C.F. sheath--> black C.F. scales ('Frag' pattern)---> orange liners.
I don't have an issue with a "pre-designated waiting period", but when responses to email inquires appear to go responded to, the customer/buyer wonders what is happening.
In any business communication is key to customer confidence and repeat business, as well as referrals.
 
Very odd, seems out of place for him. I have had no problems with him at all, he was great at getting back to me. Also I have had emails that I had sent to people that were never recieved and vise versa, so that does happen. Im sure everything will get worked out.

You took money in advance. You spent 3 months and haven't finished the job. You did not respond to his inquiries.

You've already screwed someone over.

Yes, PM him here on the forum like he requested. Sometimes there are reasons emails don't get through. he requested a PM from the other gent, so that is what I would do if I were you. :)
