Anyone here EDC a fixed-blade?

I liver in Washington State in central Washington. It is legal to carry any length knife openly on the belt here.

I generaly EDC RC4 (now ESEE4) horizontaly accross the back in the kydex sheath.

I'm a Realtor in an upscale office in a very large city, and I EDC a fixed blade every day. They are carried in a pocket sheath in my right rear pocket.

I have 6 blades in my usual rotation. Two are small Blind Horse Knives smaller patch knives; one a Wharncliffe, the other a drop point. I also carry 2 of their larger patch knives, once again a Wharncliffe, and a drop point.

The other 2 are made by Michael Morris. Once again a Wharncliffe and a drop point. All of these knives are beautifully made and have gorgeous handle materials, fiddleback maple, antler, ivory.

If I do use one in the course of business, more often than not they are seen as beautiful, functional tools. You might want to take a look at their web pages.

My job requires me to visit various places all the time but I am in banks and credit unions pretty often and I edc an izula pretty regularly... I find it lighter than my strongest folders and stronger than my lightest folder. So it works very well and fits easily in my front pocket.

Any one of several Bar River knives every day, I also carry a slippie but use the FB.

when it arrives, i can see myself EDC'ing a Fallkniven WM1.

i'm a photographer and i live in the bush.

I have for the past 3 or 4 years , first it was a Rinaldi Matrix that I used a great bit , and for the past year a small fixed blade I made for myself. I still carry the matrix from time to time though.

Carried horizontally on the belt , just to the left of the buckle. Hidden in plain sight :)

Ontario RAT-3 D2. Great size, sheath, tough as nails. Does anything I need. Carries well with an untucked shirt and my typical IWB Roscoe.

I usually carry an Izula with me. It's a great little blade. I'm now looking into the Bravo Necker.

As far as my occupation, I'm a part time salesman at a local OfficeMax (there I just pocket the Izula) and a full time martial arts instructor (don't carry a knife when teaching... no pockets :D )

I like carrying a fixed blade, but I think usually it will come down to personal preference..... I don't honestly think I'll ever need the strength of a fixed blade knife when I'm around town.

Emerson LaGriffe in the stock sheath, just slipped into left inside jacket pocket.

Student in Montreal, QC, Canada :). I also work at a popular computer store here, but I usually carry only my skeletool when I'm there.

During hunting season, I EDC my CRK SHadow III, but I am basically in the mountains with very few stores, so everyone is used to seeing a knife sheath on a belt.......I also EDC my CRK Professional Soldier often. I live in a small town/city and its pretty much concealed in my right front pocket. I kinda feels like I am carrying my large sebenza or umnumzaan in my pocket lose and not clipped. The PS carries nicely for a fixed blade, its light, thin, concealable. You can also carry it as a neck knife like it was designed for and if your wearing a long sleave shirt, it would not be noticable.

I pocket carry an Izula in custom kydex 99.9% of the time or an RC-3MIL when I feel froggy. I forgot - my Street Beat once in awhile too! :)

I carry one most of the time. I have an advantage as I am the owner of an auto body shop. I live about 30 miles east of LA, but the area is still city and not rural.

I get some stares from people from time to time but have never been stopped by any police for carrying. As bad as California is our knife laws are actually pretty lenient.

What do you carry and how JTC3495? I'm just curious. :)

I live in a farming type area about 10 miles from a decent size town, so I carry whatever I want, except into the stores, it's a bit more discreet then, "in pocket" blades or bug guns.

I work at Lowes also, I work in the garden, so during the winter, I carried my Busse HG-55 in kydex under my sweater all the time, bigger knife, but it hides really well, the only people that knew I had it were my friends lol..

With the exception of a couple of days of the week when I head into the office, I will usually have this little Charles May FireAnT with me in a pocket sheath or belt sheath. The little FB has an OAL of 5 3/8"

I carry either a Schrade Sharpfinger or the Perrin Neck Knife. It depends on the location I am or if I am at work. I use pocket carry or left front cross draw.

Most of the time I carry an ESEE Hest or a Koyote necker off of my belt.
I just picked up a Snody menace that I have been wearing on a belt sheath the last couple days.

Most of the towns I frequent are under 50,000 people (small for this area) but it took a while to get used to the feeling of having a fixed knife on my belt.
