Anyone here EDC a fixed-blade?

I forgot to mention that a Case Little Finn makes a great little fixed blade to EDC,either in your pocket or on your belt.

Been sometime since I have carried it but a RAT Izula in Tan and it is an awesome knife love it.

I have been constantly carrying fixed blades ever since I started making knives (making knives for yourself is one of the better perks of knifemaking). I have found carrying a small fixedblade in your pocket with a simple kydex sheath to be very easy and descreat. However, now a days I tend to have a pocket cutlass in a leather sheath on my belt although it fits in my pocket as well.

I'm carrying a Bark River Rising Wolf. Just put the supplied sheath in my pocket and go. When wearing jeans, the butt of the knife just barely pokes out.

Looks kind of like this:

I carry a Becker Necker in my right back pocket most days. I do any job I can find (unemployed). This week it was doing retail themes in Six Flags. Came in handy everyday.

All the time.

My two favorites: An Ontario RAT-3 in D2 and this O1 custom by H.D. Lennon, linen micarta...it has been through a chemically patina after these pics...

I just picked these two up from knifemaker Craig Wheatley of CKE Knives at the Canadian Knifemakers' Guild show. I carry them (one at a time;)) in the front pocket of my pants. Slips in nicely with the slim sheath. I have so much more confidence in these little guys than I do in my Umnumzaan, or any folding knife for that matter.

How about one more against some well know objects

I everday carry a ringed razel production when im working or hiking, at night I switch to a custom razel.

In califonia it illegal to carry a fixed blade of any lenght, However its legal to carry a fixed work blade if applicable. Im a lic Electrical contractor and always have my card on me. I live in the city of eureka and its pretty rural with lots of open land out of town. I have been asked to produce my knife before and LEO always recognize the Razel as a working blade due to its "unpointy shape".

I've been carrying one or another of the Spyderco Mules in the ruler pocket of my carpenter jeans since the program started. I work for a small town housing authority, so we are bound by the federal "no weapons" policy. My boss considers a fixed blade knife on my belt to be a weapon, but since the Mule fits entirely in the ruler pocket, it is a "pocket knife", which she is okay with. Go figure.

These are my EDC's that I carry in a simple pouch, made them myself, I call them number 6 and 7

I live in Boise, Idaho, an urban sprawl of 500,000 people with a very small town feel. I work in the backwoods in northern Idaho. I EDC fixed blades almost exclusively. I carry a HEST, an RC3 and my new little pal, a Buck Paklite Skinner. The only folders I own anymore are true users- CRKT Lightfoot, RAT-1, Kabar Warthog folder, old school Al Mar, Buck 110, SAK-none of them costed more than 20 bucks and all of them lock up tight. If I have a folder on me, I have a fixie too

Just where in the world do people come up with this stuff (fixed-blades are illegal to carry in CA unless it is work related)?
Unless I am reading the California Penal Code wrong, or it's an out-dated version, fixed blade knives 4" or less in length, in plain sight, are legal.
I mentioned in another thread that the "need for carry purpose" sounds like the B.S. that the English are subjected to. A cop with any knife knowledge will know how a karambit is used, regardless of how you use it.
BTW, the Penal Code makes mention of "knuckle duster knives", and a cop could use that as justification for arrest; paraphrasing P.C. 12020, any thing, metal or even plastic, that covers the knuckle(s). Might not happen where you are, lucky you!, but I wouldn't think of carrying that 'round these parts.

The razel, when carried on the belt is often ubstructed from view by jackets, shirt etc... Its on an inside the pant sheath making it very concealed. Any concealed fixed blade is illegal. Any LEO who wanted to make a case for my arrest only has to claim he could not easly see my knife. Thats were the working man bit comes in, the CA code does say that a fixed blade of any lenth can be caried for working puroses, I dont know if you have ever seen a ducting knife but its one helluv a mean dagger.

As far as the kerabit bit goes I dont think the razel has any resablence exept the ring.

Now the knuckleduster bit i understand, howerver any LEO reaching for that remote law wants you busted or searched quite baddly and will probaly find a way

I carry a SOG seal pup occasionally. I carry it in a Kydex sheath in the waistband which conceals it quite well. I live in a small town in the Midwest. There are no laws against knife size or kind you can carry except for switchblades.

Yes, I EDC a fixed blade. A Busse BATAC, in a kydex sheath that doubles as both a pocket sheath, and a IWB sheath:

When not at work, I EDC a Becker Necker in it's sheath horizontally just to the left of my belt buckle.
