Anyone here with less than 10 knives?

I have less than 10 knives that are over $150. Wait..... scratch that. :o
I have less than 10 knines with 2.75" blades or smaller.
I have less than 10 Gerbers.
I have 10 Byrd knives.
But more than 10 Sprdercos. Sorry.
I have less than 10 fixed blades.....but maybe 9.
I have 10 catagories of Benchmade knives. Each catagory divided into sub catagories then yet another sub catagory of each of those sub catagories. Each sub, sub catagory is divided into NIB or EDC. I'm sure that a few of them may have less than 10.
In addition, I have less than 10 knives on my person at this time.

So..........Yes, I have less than 10 knives.:)
 
I have two knives I don't care for and will probably get rid of, a Spyderco bug on my keys, and a small Sebenza. I don't really desire to own a lot of anything by my nature which is apparently quite unique. It will be many years before my collection exceeds ten.
 
9 blades. I am interested in RAT cutlery and 1 Busse next, but i really can't justify it. I have a knife for about every use, therefore the need is not there.

So 9 that see a ton of use except the SAKs and the Buck. The old gator and the RC-3 in particular are showing some heavy wear. This isn't counting multi-tools or utility tools though or the number goes up since I've got a few gerber multiplier 400s kicking around, my Leatherman TTI, a cheapo machete, and the trusty Fiskars hatchet. I also sell off or give away my older knives or knives I don't like, but the average value of the group has gone up about $30 bucks a knife since I joined this forum lol :)

I've probably gone through about fifty different knives in my lifetime, but gifted or traded so many away that it's down to about ten or so. The collection's slowly increasing again though...

I really only have 3 knives I use.

Benchmade Rukus's one with a combo edge and one with a plain edge and a decent ontario sp25 which needs to be sharpened and one day will hopefully be replaced by a busse ash1. Generally I'm using the plain edge rukus though.

Have a couple of other cheap folders, couple of dive type knives (Not sure where they came from) but there cheap and/or never get used so I don't really count them.

I cooperated on designing it :cool:

As I see the other folks here counting also their kitchen knives, so with them I could reach amount of 10 in total. I didn't count them in since they're of shared ownership with my girlfriend :o According to her opinion, the kitchen knives are those that we need, those on the photo and technically all mine are those we don't need :D
 
Had a ton growing up, but all of those are gone except my silver slipjoint that I bought with Bazooka Joe comics ;)

Other than that, in order of purchase:

Western Seabee fixed - 22 years ago
CS Voyager Tanto (large) - 13 or so years ago
Wenger Tradesman - 12 years ago

Carried only those 3 for years. And more recently:

Buck Nobleman (sharpens up nice but huge blade play)

Oh yeah, and a bayonet that I picked up at a surplus store prob 25 years ago.

I might have 10 that I EDC, and who knows how many others. There is something in my psyche which precludes me carrying a mother-of-pearl handled knife, mastadon ivory, or a super-fine fit and finish damascus in a pocket full of change. Just the pride in ownership I guess!
 
Except for a few Leatherman multitools in vehicals and my Scrapper6 which is in my truck with my customized SOG hawk. And a couple nice axes and a few semi high end swords. I have whittled it down to these few since last year when I had twice this many easy. Oh I am sure there is a couple more 110's and or 112's in drawers around the house plus what ever is stuffed in backpacks and my BOB. But I am getting it down to a manageable number.:D

Eighteen total. The number keeps falling but the average value has been climbing. I dump for resale or give away to family pieces I no longer use and none of my are non-users. I figure that all knives were made to be used and I don't understand the pure collector mentality about anything--and I don't want to understand it either.;):D

Right now? Yes. Ive had to downsize big time recently due to the fact that I cant seem to find a new job after being laid off about six months ago. But one day (hopefully soon :D) I will top that number again
