Anyone here with less than 10 knives?

My small collection of knives includes:

Bear and Son MGC 5" fixed blade - $30
Benchmade Presidio - $68
Benchmade Vex - $38
Colt - $25
CRKT Tiny Tighe - $27
Remington P.O.S. - $12.00
Spyderco Tenacious -$34
Spyderco Endura 4 ZDP-189 $87

The total value of these is $321.00. I believe my collection is done, everything I need is there. Anything more would be excessive! :p

I forgot about the 35 year old Buck 110, which I inherited from my brother. It's doesn't get carried because it looks funny wearing a belt sheath in the office.

Yep. I've got 8 knives total. I would have more but I sell the ones that I find to become uncomfortable. If I didn't sell I would pro'lly have about 20.

< 10 here too, and not a huge drive to accumulate more

f1
mora clipper carbon
sak farmer
sak recruit
Gossman psk
al mark hawk for dress
sypderco para

Estwing hatchet for camping

would like it to be just
F1, mora (to inexpensive and expendable to not have one), high quality sub 3.3" locking folder w/ pocket clip, vic soldier, custom slip joint for dress and everyday, dozier personal (straight or wharncliff) or other custom/handmade < 3.25" fb;

yeah i have that few now!!! I'm a newb that just started collecting though!!! I have 70 somthing knives on my to get list at this moment!!! its a good addiction to have!!

Yep. I am not a collector at all. I've had HUNDREDS in the past 4 years, and now have 3. A SAK deluxe tinker, a custom proto Bark River that was made for me, (which I am still waiting for UPS to deliver!) and a Boker whittler. I plan to pick up a GEC pioneer, and maybe a one hand opener when I can find one I like enough to keep. Maybe a Queen Mountain Man.

Let's see... This week I bought a Kershaw Scallion 1620H3; a custom stag handle drop point Hunter; a Kershaw military boot knife; a Kershaw 1725 Junkyard Dog II; and a Kershaw Storm II. So, yes, this week I bought less than ten knives. :) Oh, and this week I also gave away a nice Buck Alpha Hunter to my SIL.

What was the question again?

I am 48 years old and cannot remember ever having less than a dozen or so. There is 7 or 8 in my change basket to choose from in the morning.

Had over thirty for a long time then sold, traded and consolidated and had five (5) Missions

1 MPF 3 Ti pe
2 MPf 1 Ti pe
2 MPS Ti pe

Then my wife ran over our cat in the driveway and got clipped with a $2,500.00 vet bill, still had to put the cat to sleep. Had to sell the knives off to pay for the vet bill as the economy hit the skids around that time here.

Had saved up to get some more knives, then the economy got worse so I had to fire the lawn crew and use my knife money I had saved to buy lawn mower, weed eater and blower for yard.

Now the economy is so bad I can't afford anything but house note and bills, so I'm down to one knife a Victorinox Cadet. Hunting season is coming up so looks like I'll be skinning deer with a SAK. I'll take photos and post if I kill any thing, last year I scratched for the first time ever. I'm 39 and have been deer hunting since I was 9.

Might I add its killing me to be without a decent titanium frame lock folder or a decent locking folder period.

I got less than 10 folders ( 2 atm and I am looking to buy 2 or 3 this year ) But pocket knives and fixed blades I got nearly a dozen each.

I dont really have but what consider needed. I have a leatherman wave for a multitool. I have a RAT RC4 for a good solid fixed blade. I do keep 2 folders around incase I loose, break, or send off to be worked on. I have a spyderco para D2 for back up at home, and carry my one expensive baby, my chris reeves small classic sebenza. Thats it, 4. But if I had more $$$ then I would have more and nicer.

I have a drawer full of Chinese/Pakistani junk from when I was younger, but definitely less than 10 "good" knives.

US made Schrade LB-7 (similar to Buck 110)
Wenger SAK (Alpine backpacker)
Spyderco Spyderfly
Typhoon kit balisong
A wharncliffe Klein Tools knife

And that's about it.

I have many cheap Pieces of crap knives...However, since descovering quality, I only have 4 decent knives.

1 - Buck 110
2- Rat Cutlery H.E.S.T.
3 - Scrap Yard Scrapper 5 LE (will be here in a few weeks)
4 - Zero Tolerance ZT-0301

I have under 10 knives:

Benchmade 550HG
Spyderco endura 4 wave spyderedge
CRKT m16-13Z
KaBar BK-7
KaBar BK-11
Cheap butterfly knife(don't know what it is .)

I'm not intending to offend anyone here at all, but some of you have an awfull lot of posts here to own less than 10 knives. I thought I was laging behind when I joined this forum and read that some had upwards of a thousand knives, I own about eighty or so. only about ten are users, as I tend to collect vintage production. Heck I own ten hammers, guess I need to look up a hammer forum.

Victorinox Classic
Victorinox Rambler
Victorinox Spartan
Kershaw Skyline Damascus
Kershaw Chive Damascus
Kershaw Blur S30v
Spyderco Sage

I think so, lemmesee...

1 small Henkels slipjoint 2-blade pen knife, carbon steel with bone scales (My first knife!)
2 Victorinox Tinkers
1 Victorinox Trailmaster, made into plain edge
1 Puma Deer Hunter
1 Gerber multitool
1 Leatherman Wave
1 Spyderco Delica ZDP on the way (PE)

That makes 8, and does not count kitchen cutlery, woodworking sharp tools, or garden implements. They have all been used, but the 2 Tinkers see the most use of all. I am a tool user, and mostly resist the siren call of collecting. The Henkels, Puma, and Spydie are all gifts from my dear father, who is a serious knife enthusiast.
