Anyone into bicycles????

What no Fixies?

Well here is my Anchor.

Those Cannondales are so good you can even ride them up a vertical wall !!!

That made me laugh, thanks! :)

It is an awesome bike, I thoroughly enjoy riding it. It isn't an Orbea or anything and I didn't have Mavic tires, but the components and the weight of that bicycle was absolutely perfect. I'm going to ship it up to Washington once I get established here and fit it out with some new components, it still has the original Shimano XT components it came with, but I bought it for a smoking deal on Craigslist - $340.

The only additions I put on it were a new rimset and a couple sets of new tires as they got worn. This was my main mode of transportation for a couple years, actually. I probably put on around 5000 miles on it in those two years.

Love that thing.

$340 is a STEAL !!! If it was me, I wouldn't mess with it if it's got XT... that's damn good stuff. Looks like it's in great shape... "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...

Prior to my Litespeeds, I had 2 Cannondale M700 bikes ('91 & '93) and a Cannondale touring bike ('85).

I was going to pick up a 1982 Nishiki International on craigslist this weekend, but once the seller cleaned it up and pumped up the tires for the sale, he rode it around town to check it out and fell in love with it again. What can you do? I told him, good for him, enjoy the bike. Definitely better than losing it to another buyer.

I love bikes! My favorite thing is to shred the gnar on my trackbike!
My main ride is an Italian track frame (of unknown origin), but I have a Bianchi crit frame set up as a 1x9 with a full Campy gruppo, and a really neat handmade Stowe pursuit frame (not built up).
My "oddballs" include a Columbia tandem, set up with some sweet wheels (handbuilt by me) - Shimano Nexus internally geared 3-speed hub w/coaster brake (!!!), and a frankenstein-looking tallbike (two frames high, saddle height is about 6'3", freewheel, no brakes).

BIKES ARE FUN!!!

One more... my Bianchi frame, built up as a fixed gear conversion. Notice how tight and steep the geo is.... rides like a track frame. It's a crit, or criterion, frame - designed for short races with lots of twists & turns.

Hey puukkoman, Rob Stowe made bike frames about 2 miles from where I live. Nice stuff. Since you're in Philly, did you ever check out HH Racing (Harry Havnoonian)? I was in their shop about 20 years ago. They liked to install the rear brake in front of the brake bridge...

Cool, I'll look 'em up! Thanks! :)
I know a couple guys, mostly into CX, who install their rear brakes that way... seems silly to me, but I suppose they have their reasons.

I just found this old picture of my last bike that i sadly sold :(
