Anyone live near Savson Swords & Knives

Maybe the reason Savson isn't performing up to snuff is due to the fact that a bunch of little kids (who can't wait) are pestering the you-know-what out of him with phone calls and emails because they want their knives instantaeously teleported to their grubby little hands within nanoseconds of placing their order. Is anyone familiar with the term "delay of gratification"? I've been patronizing Savson for over a year with nary a problem. In the past, I, too, have succumbed to WMK Syndrome (Where's my knife?! Where's my knife?!?! Where's my knife?!?!?!?!?!?!!). WMK Syndrome is functionally equivalent to the AWTY Syndrome (Are we there yet?). One day, it dawned on me that he can't simultaeously process my order and respond to my queries. So just chill out and let the man work. Your new "baby" will thus arrive sooner

I'm glad you were able to make your 1st post a response to a thread that was 6-7 months old! You need to get a life.

I see some other issues have cropped up though and I hope things pan out for everyone involved.

And once again the quote from REELINTHEYEARS is not relevant to the situation.

would help if he or someone associated with him posted here though explaining the situation and if problems are likely in the future. I would like to think that this would help with confidence for future orders.

That would be the first contact I would have with him in 3 months of begging via email for communication...

That really ticks me off that some of you all are getting responses and even getting your orders while the rest of us are left high and dry.

Just a thought, but it could be that Tom is taking care of everyone else first because you're the only one who actually started a thread in three or four different forums encouraging people to send hate mail to his company, or his father's, brother's uncle's company.....whatever the relationship is. I wouldn't be surprised if he shelves your order for a bit longer just to let you stew. I understand everybody's frustration with the situation, but venomous attacks don't really get you anywhere. I mean, you tried to do some serious damage to the man's business, you can't expect him to be chompin' at the bit to make sure you get taken care of first, especially with the long list of repairs that Tom has in front of him.

Good luck

oh ya cant blame someone for complaining when they have been done wrong, can ya??

even if they are "venemous".

savson needs to take care of these folks or he doesnt need or deserve to be in the biz.

All I want is communication of either a refund or where my order is.

I wouldnt be causing this 'business' harm if they didnt steal my money and ignore my dozens of attempts at contact... Which were very professional the first few months...

I think my actions are justified. What would you expect someone to do in this position? Sit, wait, kiss ass, and hope for the best? There are way too many vendors out there to treat customers this way and expect them not to throw up red flags.

I wish everyone else luck recieving their orders or refunds. If you are still placing new orders with this guy, I think you are playing with fire.

Greetings all,

Just signed up here and wanted to reply to this thread. I ordered a Benchmade on 11-6-07 from SS&K. On the 8th I got an email saying they had charged my credit card and shipped my order via priority mail. It's now the 15th and nothing has come yet. I sent an email yesterday to which I've gotten no reply. I know Veterans Day was Monday and the postal service was closed, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Tomorrow will be over a week that the order was sent. I've ordered from them in the past and gotten the package within 3 days, so I'm hoping it's delayed due to the holiday. Just thought I'd add my experiences to this thread. So far I'm starting to worry a bit. If not here by Saturday I'm calling my CC company and asking for the money back and will order from elsewhere.

At least they could do is answer their emails, or give you a call and let you know if their was a problem with your order. Hope that all of you guys get your stuff and that SS&K will get their act together.

Cheers,
Andy

Fair enough. If you really started out being as professional as you claim, then I understand.

Best of luck to you,
Jon

Has anyone out there had any experience with George Wilson at GWknives in Newark, Delaware? (also known as, or affiliated with,"Qknives")
My experience with him has been less fun than a sharp stick in the eye!
He is either a crook, intentionally obtuse, or simply retarded. But is this a different thread? Should I be somewhere else?

Welcome to Bladeforums! Unless that is another name used by Savson Swords & Knives, please start a new thread about it.

Has anybody gotten anywhere with the new person that is running this company? Are long overdue orders getting to the folks that are waiting?

He still has my returned knife and my money. I filed against him via VISA with all the emails and documents showing he had given me a return authorization number etc. but he never refunded my money nor responded in any way. I am awaiting a response from my cc company.

I ordered a Benchmade knife from Savson on Nov. 23 and received it today (Dec. 6). After ordering, my credit card was immediately charged. After about a week I found this forum and read all of the negative feedback that people have been having with Savson and I was really worried I would be another one that was taken advantage of. I sent a couple of emails asking for shipping information to which there was no reply for either one. The fact that they don't post a phone number or address on their website made me even more fearful about my order. It was a pleasant surprise when I received my order today, so those of you with issues with them, hopefully they will be resolved in a timely manner. Their customer service leaves something to be desired. I don't know if I would personally order from then again simply because of all of the negative feedback on this forum, but to their credit, I have to say that they completed my order correctly and in a timely fashion. Best of luck to those of you still waiting on your orders!!!

Still an ongoing problem at savson. I placed an order on Dec.4,2007 and it's now Jan.24,2008 and still no shippment. As usual credit card charged immediately and confirmation sent and here I sit. Sent several e-mails and also a letter to his residence and no reply's. I tracked down a phone number in his wifes name registered to his address but it's on an answering machine and they don't call back. If no reply or shippment by the end of the month I will get my credit card company involved. What a way to run a business, but the website is always getting updated. Can't understand why you can't answer an e-mail and answer a question.

I ordered May 6th. It is June 16th. He's ignored all my emails. I left messages on his machine. I got to him two weeks ago by phone and he said he would reship the order and that it was an address mistake. Still nothing. This is really frustrating!
