Anyone notice the 2025 Catalog?

I got a "Coming Soon in 2025" e-mail from Buck today. The 791 Range Elite and Mini Elite look like they might be my next Buck. The 300 series is awfully tempting too. I can't wait to see the prices of the 791 Magnacuts.
Oh, who the heck am I trying to kid!

Looks like most of the websites have them up for preorder.

The Range Pro is listed at $125, while the Range Elite is listed at $220.

That sounds kinda pricey, but when you look what other manufacturers are charging for their Magnacut knives, it's not bad at all.

It stings a little, you can order a magnacut 110 from the custom shop for $150. With the magnacut blade only upping the price by $50. So personally a custom shop magnacut 110 with elk handles for $225 vs another aluminum crossbar knife in magnacut for $220.....well one seems like a significantly better deal.

I just wonder if much like the onset if the price will keep these from standing out.

I have one each of Buck's Custom Shop 110 & 112 Magnacuts and they're a real bargain, as far as I''m concerned. If the Custom Shop would offer a lightweight 112 edc, like maybe a Slim Select in Magnacut, I'd never even be considering the Range. And the price would be around that of a custom 112 or less. That's been on my wish list for months, and everybody's probably getting pretty tired of hearing it.

I can be a little slow, but someone in the Traditionals forum just pointed out that the spey and sheepsfoot are switched from their current position. Not quite sure how I feel about this. I'll definitely need to get one to try out.

it's not necessarily a bad thing. Most other stockman knives are configured that way. You could argue that is the "correct" position for the blades. Case, Queen, Remington, etc all usually have it with the sheepsfoot and clip on the same side.

On the one hand it's always been something a little quirky and different about Buck's stockman knives, but on the other hand, it opens up the door to the possibility of a Buck of the month 301 jack knife, with the sheepsfoot and clip blade on the same side.

Now I need to go home and look to see what the old Camillus blade configuration was - maybe Buck carried it over from how Cami made them?

And while we're talking possibilities, how about putting the 301 in the Custom Shop with a single blade option? A single blade 420HC hollow ground brass 301 with elk or ebony would be amazing. Or a 2 blade in that config.
