I agree, why not ask! All people can do is either say YES or NO! It NEVER hurts to ask!!

I would love that if no one else has taken yet I'm not too far away about thirty miles away. I could come pick it up.I'm sort of broke. I havent gotten a new knife in like a year. you guys are so cool.

It is the VG10 Centofante, and it's a great knife. Unfortunately, you are the third request for it that I've seen, I'm still trying to figure out if the first two (One by email and one in the thread) are in fact the same. I might give you preference because you posted first, but the other guy got a hold of me first. If he has more need for it, he gets it.

I actually just gave it away, I'm sorry. Someone emailed me a request for it, then Artfully_Martial jumped second on the list. But, I do have an NIB Schrade 80T that you can have, and I can send it to you if you have a couple dollars for shipping, or you can pick it up the next time you're in the area.
 
This is cool. Glad more people are getting free knives.......and I'm glad more people are giving them away.

That Atlantic Salt that mike_mck2 is sending me may arrive tomorrow. I'm excited :). I'll take some pics and throw 'em up :)

Don't worry about my timing on the centofante, make sure anyone else who wants it gets it, if you're still wanting to give it away. I'm doing fine knife wise, it was just that if no one was using it or wanted it, I'd be happy to add it to the EDC rotation--seeing that this isn't the case, I don't want to take it away from someone who actually needs it.

I think that's a great idea.

I plan to give back when I have a surplus again.

Maybe a knife Christmas list, for those less knife fortunate than our knife-selves.

Knife.

Then give them away for Christmas.

KNIFE Christmas that is.
 
I don't think I really have a problem with giving mine away. I don't have many, but I don't need many, either, and no more than two are ever in my EDC rotation, and I usually have about six, at least two of which are pure safe queens that don't need to be, they should be users. I'd be happy to give away what I have if I don't need it. I might be able to do that every four or five months. I've been getting into making more expensive purchases much farther apart, so we'll see how it goes.
 
Artfully & madcap...that sounds like a great idea.

I'd be happy to chip in too. I think I could do a couple knives a year. I also usually don't have more than 4-6 at a time. I'm never rotating more than 2 either.

Good idea. Knives should be used :)
 
Wow this is quite the thread! I was the rep point system was still there as I would be dumping out some chicklets.


I too have given away many knives. Spyderco rescue, becker, more spydercos. Even when people look at you funny when they stare at the knife in their hand, wondering why....it makes you feel good giving someone a useful tool they will use. Even turned a sheeple the other day giving him a small kershaw. Told him its too small to be a "dagger death machine" and to use it. Hasn't been without it since which is good for someone who never carried a knife in 20 years. Even catch him playing with it.

The Atlantic Salt arrived today. It's still in great shape and I will make a user out of it. I've washed it up real nice and oiled it.

Excellent Forum all around! It Shows what were all about. Congrats on everyone's new knife! BTW I could go for this being a sticky forum :D
