Nice setup and nice icons! I was looking at those boots, not sure that I can pull the look off.

Thank you The Wook, I would recommend the brown then for a more subdued, that or they have a brother version as well that has the same look, a bit styled down with no buckles but also a waterproof liner. Love the bark river riding on my side though, perfect Carry even at 80mph

I have kept these, Effinghams all. These are candidates for a nice velvet-lined shadow box up on the wall, I think.

Certainly wall worthy imo

Picked up my first Buck fixed blade thanks to OH :D The 119 should be here Tuesday. The stamp had an oddity to it that I couldn't figure out. David helped me out with a little info on it over in the thread I have in the Buck area. Still don't know what the 2 dots mean, but hey, it's my first Buck so Im happy no matter.

I was reading on the KA-BAR USMC knives last night. I've never held one but I enjoyed what I read. That is a great pic.

Kris - I always have to log on to see your pics. It is always worth it

Some truly beautiful knifes being shown. Love the diversity. I would love to read more individual impressions of the knives you have.

Chris

WOW...that is one heck of a nice sheath you have for your Case. Is that the original? Reminds me of the thick saddle leather Randall sheaths.

I had never heard of the Case USMC so of course I had to look into in just a bit. I could be wrong but I think the original sheath for the Case USMC is a sandwich sheath. If any other newbies want to look here are two threads for a head start.

Congrats Porch  Looks like a great knife and that ...maple(?) looks wondeful.

Any details on it?

It's a custom by Savage Sheaths. I had one made for my Trail Master too. Had Harry reverse the retaining straps so they wouldn't be nicked/cut when the knife was drawn. Good quality, Randall style sheath.

Congrats Leghog

That's one I have eyed a few times. Let us know what you think when you can.

4.25" handle, 5.75" blade-
It's made from a file, as you can probably see. I think it's tiger maple. The guy wasn't actually very chatty, but he says it's guaranteed, though it is one of his first knives, and he gave me his card, and I can find his house, and the price was low, so I think I did ok. It's gorgeous, fit and finish wise. This was actually a 3-family garage sale at his house.
It isn't sharpened yet, so I'll do that and we'll see.
I'm pretty sure he isn't a BF member, but I can email you his contact info if you like. "blacksmith. builder. artist. custom made knives."
