Anything goes three...The trifecta of stoopid goes on.

for your cut you could put some hydrogen peroxide on it. it cleans it out, and foams! it is also inexpensive :D

Funny you mention that, 'cause it was oozing when i got home (real nasty) so I decided to use some extremely diluted peroxide on it. It's about 1/4 the size now!

Guess I need to be more careful... gonna leave a helluva scar on my finger...

Well I feel a helluva lot better at this moment... I've been put into an engineering program! My third choice, I would've really liked civil, but I will be giving this computer engineering a whirl for the next year!

To top it off I won an IZULA!!!!!!! I'm gonna go skip down the sidewalk and creep some neighbours out now ;)

Just when you think things are going to hell GREAT things happen and it all works out in the end!

told you things have a funny way of working out in the end  i majored in computer engineering but switched to computer science. if you don't have a gf now better start looking. your classmates will be all guys :barf::(

Haha I know dude, even first year engineering was literally 95% guys...

That's why you gotta get chummy with the arts major ladies ;)

I'm getting #10,000... I thought about it, and decided it would be cool to have the real milestone knife, can't wait til it gets here!

Studying like I mean it for my final on thursday morn. Phew, gettin' blisters on me fingers!

Tell me... is it creepy/psychotic that I find sharpening and stropping my knives calming and somewhat therapeutic? Seems normal to me but when I tell my friends they think I'm gonna turn into a serial killer :D

No. whenever i am not feeling 100% sharpening, stropping, and lubricating knives makes me feel better. who knows why

Phew, glad I'm not the only one then... must just be the concentrating on doing something precise or the fact that we are maintaining tools that we love

for me it is taking something that isnt working properly and fixing it. something i have always liked to do. i find it relaxing.

Keeping tools in working order is good for calming ones mind.

Speaking of working order - my mom and I care for our Grandma at home, and last week my mom had to go to hospital with what was probably her first heart attack.
She's at home now, but will need further examination, to figure out what exactly it was.
So for several days I took care of my grandma, while working full time - long days, short nights with interruptions. I still got my excercise done, and for the first time in my entire life I've been able to walk and run without pain. And what got rid of my pain is so simple and yet no doctor and no podiatrist ever gave me that advice. I just got one orthotic after the other, all with the same result - knee and lower back pain.

In a fit of anger I threw my orthotics in the bin, and just went barefoot. And I finally know why so many people run. It is fun, provided it doesn't give you pain.
Running barefoot has it's drawbacks though, you need to be awake and alert, and do it in proper light conditions. But finally being able to feel how much fun running can be is worth it.

Sorry about your grandma, hope everything will be ok with her :)

That's awesome to hear you beat the pain, and barefoot, what a great idea! Most people don't think that our feet are actually designed to walk WITHOUT shoes... we only wear shoes to protect them from the elements. Good for you

Hey LK there are shoes that are like gloves for feet, don't remember what they are called ill look for the link and post it.
