Dunno why I want one of these as I've never really gotten into black powder before. THIS is what the Judge should have been. Plus its like 900 bucks which is quite steep but, I love the looks of it.

9 shot 44 caliber with a 20ga (might be 16ga) shotgun barrel underneath.

oh, yeah! the LeMat is kind of a dream pistol for me.
It would be even better if I could figure out a way to convert it to cartridges and fix the problems they had with reliability.
 
i think walt kirst is working on a conversion cylinder for it, i know a gunsmith that works with him has converted one to cartrige and a 20gauge for the shotgun barrel. when i saw it i was drooling i wanted it. just couldn't pony up the money though.

yeah Dave - 25 years ago when i first fell in love with that pistol, I didn't have the $$ for the C&B version. Prices now are even more out of reach, and add a Kirst conversion to it would be painful!
but a guy can dream...

PR - I love my H&R 45/70 - but a .410/.45 pistol wouldn't even come close. Not even a Judge...
 
Sigh.. I knew I should have stayed away from the gun store. I went by to see if they had a S&W 617 4" 22lr revo in stock (they didn't) the first thing my eye catches is the unique look of the 686 SSR. I had wanted one of these about a year ago but, passed on one locally at the time. Now this one I put on layaway for a bit :D

For a stock gun it has a really nice and smooth double action. The gun overall was very tight and felt super nice in the hand. The wood grips I actually like, they force a high hand hold on the revolver which helps balance it better. Here is a pic for those who don't wanna search it.

This pic shows it having more of a shine than it really does. The one I have on hold has definitely been bead blasted at the factory.

I just got back from Gander Mtn and filled out all the paperwork for a brand new Remington 870 Wingmaster 12GA. 28" barrel and 3" chamber. There is a gun show in town so my background check is on hold so I won't be able to pick it up till that clears.

This is my 1st pump 12ga shotgun and i'm super excited for it. My parents are getting it for me as a belated 21st birthday present. Normally I'd get the 870 Express but I figured I should get something special and to pass down for generations.

When I get my next paycheck in 2 weeks, I'm gonna buy myself a handgun finally. My top pick is a XD subcompact .40
 
Well I spent 4 friggin hours in the ER waiting room last night. I have had shoulder pains for about a month now. I went Tuesday to the doctor who scheduled me for an MRI do to what he thought was a pinched nerve in my back. Friday at 8:30 I have the MRI & they send the results to my doctor. The doctor says they can not see me till the following Friday. I said no worries I can deal with it. Well then about 1pm that day same day the doctor office calls me up & says that I should go to the ER as soon as possible, that I have a critical injury. I sort of complain & but finally give in. I go & apparently I have a bulging disc that is pushing on my spinal chord. So now I am in a neck brace, suppose to talk to a specialist on Monday & maybe surgery next week. The whole thing kind of blind sided me. Maybe I will have surgery maybe not. Just really want to talk to the specialist to see how bad everything really is.

There's definately a 'thing' about mirror stainless finishes and that black/grey laminated wood... who knew glorified plywood could look so damn cool! Killstew, sorry about the back-it really sucks. My joint pain level has escalated severely over the past week or two and have had kidney and liver pain along with it. I've reached the level where fun stuff isn't fun anymore because it wears on me so much. I've stopped taking ibuprophen and it seems to help with the sideaches, but definitely not the joints. Hopefully it's fixable for you...
 
Whoo hoo! Just got back from picking up my 870 Wingmaster! She's a beauty and I can't wait to get to use her
