April Buck Of The Month

My point is the resellers shouldn’t have the opportunity to purchase multiple knives as soon as they are listed especially if the quantities are (100~200) units. They sell out in hours before most of us get to open our email. It’s not supposed to be a monthly money making opportunity.

Ok, so say a Hyena Dingo buys 10 of the 75.00 mini spitfires. I wonder how much they can make reselling them. Try zero. Or any of the BOTM knives. I havent bought one.

there has been zero money to be made on the botm knives----do ya see any listed on feebay???????
and like mike said---most of those resellers are bcci members so who is to make the choice of who is going to get to buy them or not?????
heck even the great coppernclad is a bcci member...

correct no knives are ever discounted on the website that I know of....only at the sale to get rid of the last few--less than 5 they have left that have sat unsold for over a year....like the new limited edition knives may be at the summer sale and they are full price exactly what is on the website---then next year when the new les come out they discount the leftovers from this year at the sale to get rid of them.....makes sense....
well that aint the knife ya got fer me mike cuz I have never ever been on facebook....and don't ever remember doubling up on any knife ---except for a couple and I wont say his name cuz the fool got banned last year...ha...
the point I am trying to make here is the resellers I know and including myself are not getting trump rich like you may think---I am a collector myself and part of my enjoyment of my job is getting cool stuff out there so you can buy--otherwise you would never see it....

I don't believe there is a limit online-----actually for the most part I stay away from online---but look at the 1 guy with the 120 in pf he has 9 of those for sale.....
remember its not always 5 at the sale-----if there is only 6 of a particular knife you can only buy 1 or 2---depending on the knife----they want them there so others can see them.....makes sense....

like ive said before.......idaho or nearby is the place to be for bucks.:)

i dont see an issue. those who can go in person and are known or friendly with bucks folks, are likely gonna do better. it is what it is. i got no problem with it myself.

thank you jb--and as you know it is work but fun work eh!!!!!!
if I was in florida the place to befriend would be randall knives right!!!!!

yes Sir. not far from me. one county away....but nothing affordable there or for sale over the counter and that pesky 5 year waiting list.;) id rather be near buck........but i aint.

I'll never see a new Randall, not from the factory. I know one dealer that gets them regularly and marks them up several hundred dollars. I'll probably never see a new GEC Barlow either. Some of their dealers are inventing ways like lotteries to make it more fair. That's why I don't get it. Buck has the resources. Make them, sell them. People will buy.

I guess randall is so expensive they don't need to have a 110 line right or the more affordable knives like buck has----seems kinda weird randall don't have a store....buck is so cool--they have the store you can buy from ----there is just so many cool people there it is awesome....man I could not imagine buck without a factory store...

I'm a collector and seller...I collect as an investment and I sell to buy more investments, what's wrong with that. You guys that's always crying because you didn't get one, get over it...You have the same opportunity as the rest of us. You want everybody to change the rules just for you? I haven't heard one you say that you bought the mini-spitfire? So quit belly-achin' and look at your email more often and as soon as you see the email from Buck drop everything and get your order in and you'll probably get one. Don't just sit on your hands and cry until someone bends the rules for you. Where in life does that actually happen and how many other knife makers have a program such as BOTM...

agree. system seems fair enough to me.

i believe Christiantrevor is just talking more about flippers who arent users or collectors. y'all are collectors and users first so i dont believe he is speaking about y'all. could be wrong though. i might be completely misunderstanding it.

Is the difference between 100 knives and 200 or 250 knives that great in collector or resale value?

Is it that important that you would deny forum friends the opportunity to buy something nice? And then call them names?

I just think this flies in the face of everything Buck is supposed to stand for. I have a sour taste in my mouth.
