Are You A HOG?. . . .

One key question for ALL aspiring HOGS:

Can you accesorize?

Here's another idea.....
If you can produce a picture of yourself with at least 4 of any single model, and your driver's license, you should qualify as a HOG!

Should they all be the same combo too ? ;)

For those of use with a little OCD.

Another key question...

How far would you drive for a lighter dog?

The final question might be:

Are you related to this man?

I think the different level is a great idea Jerry. You must have been really loaded when you came up with that one. :D :D

I agree with Dennis in MA & Guyon, a trip to Blade has to be a requirement for the top level HOG. There is nothing like meeting snout to snout. Ones & zeros just don't cut it in the Round trough. Blade West would only qualify if Jerry were also in attendance.

Attendance at Knob Creek, Indy and other shows were an INFI table is setup should help raise your standing in Hogdom. Perhaps a Hog Log could be sent along with the bladeware. The attendee would then have to ask to see the Hog Log (THG & Skunk might have too much fun with this request, but WTH) and sign in. If you forget to sign.......no credit for you.

Those who find the hidden Hog Tags should also get a bump in the Hogdom standing, but only after the tag has been redeemed. Hoarding Shop credit is a no-no.

Now I'd better get back to work before the boss wonders what I'm doing.

Nuke On!!!

Levels? we don't need no stinkin levels. Caste systems are for chumps.

Amount of INFI? This ain't no country club!

I don't know. It would be nice to be inducted, but I never have enough cash to travel, so online might be the only chance for me.

Bwahahahaha! I hadn't seen that before. That's too awesome. I'll have to remember that next time I'm on a road trip.

Thanks!

Get Skunk or Jerry to tell you the story some time. Funny stuff.

How I feel has already been stated. Especially by OTE, Lazlo, Randucci and Hogwash. State of Mind, Helping Others, Trampling, Contributing to the collective here, Patience and soaking up the good vibes by those here, at the BCS and of course, at Busse Combat.

Am I a HOG? I don't know, but I do know that I love this place, the people here, and the knives we all lust for. My collection exploded early this year, but has matured since. I actually went to my first knife show, Blade East '07, this year, and most likely will be going to many more in the future. So now, after being here for less than a year, part of my life has completely changed. It's changed daily. I have planned my schedule around events here. I have met the NICEST online group ever. I have met great people in person. Tiers, # of knives, etc, doesn't matter to me, but being recognized as being part of this collective is what it is all about.

OINK on brothers and sisters...

No really... I know I'm just a piglet and Jerry asked for a HOGS opinion, but...

I believe it's a state of mind like others have said... but also a state of being.

Anything and everything from participation in the community,
lending a helping hoof to noobs and HOGs alike,
experiencing stampedes to the trough,
having some hoof prints on your back and a little blood on your tusks,
when F5 is you friend,
searching the four corners of the pen for that rare Busse,
planning the raid on Stinky's closet,
having enough INFI to last a lifetime...but still feeling the need for more... the list can go on, but you get the point.

Having different levels of induction make sense to me... because something tells me that attaining HOGDOM can only be truly understood by attending Blade and meeting people face to face.

I quit uttering the piglet cry "Reeeeee Reeeeee Reeeeeeeee" at some point. It seems like a long time ago. I don't know when but I have definitely moved beyond that. Now all I have to say is ...

O I N K

Commercial spot...

"Hi, I'm Lil' Foo... I'm not a hog, but I play one on the internet.

But 10 out of 10 HOGs reccomend Busse as the one knife that will never let you down.

And that's why you should act now...

oops... too late, the trough is empty. :(

Hey... I did tell you to act now!" :D :D

NO REGRETS

.

Anybody who has reserved a night for drinking and F5ing the BCS has the right attitude at least !! and if you're around enough to know when to send in an email for the latest ganza you've got to be at least part HOG !!

Does spending a couple of grand on INFI my first year count??? :D:eek:

Being a HOG is:

- Sending bribe gifts to the Busse office women in order to get special treatment on ordering. It doesn't hurt to add a little something for Jerry and Garth too, but we all know who runs the show, right Amy?

I have sent some stuff but the bribe I'm getting for Amy isn't ready yet, they keep saying "two weeks" and it isn't even a Busse.:grumpy:

It will be worth it when all of my 'ganza emails go to the front of the line:eek::eek:

Coldone, calling in sick for a 'Ganza definitely adds to the weight of your credentials
