I am sorry if my post seemed to put you off. I can see how the jargon and the inside jokes may be a little intimidating. But I hope you have also noticed that we almost never have the kind of flame wars that ruin other on-line communities. Keep lurking, post some more, and you will see why this is one of the best "clubs" you'll find.

I drove eight hours to get to BladeWest at 1:00AM Thursday night and yesterday I was checking on flights to Kentucky but that is a little too far so soon after BladeWest for me.


I’m no expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn “two weeks” ago.

I have thought about this for a while, probably since Jerry came to a few of us before a Blade induction to get our input on some prospective inductees. We gave him our thoughts, but ultimately it was his call. I don't see the problem with letting currently inducted hogs nominate people and let the Boss have the final say so. I think we all agree that Hogdom is not dependent on the sheer number of blades you have (good thing because I would have to drop a few rungs on the ladder if it were). To me it is about the spirit of the thing. Many here have become great friends and some are like family. I think that those who participate on here and the home forum to a lesser extent set themselves apart on their own. If Jerry did want to institute a "class" system to recognize different levels of participation, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

My bad, still bring her along to Hotlanta, family is always welcome. I bring my kids, and so do many of the other guys. I'm still envious of the ASH1 V. :D

It looks like you and Kelly are both going to have to hide your stashes. I am hoping my little ones have no interest in my guns or knives. I'll let the wife indoctrinate them into little league sports and they'll think dad is a complete loser because he can't throw or catch and leave my stuff alone. :D
 
Well I certainly hope that past forum contributions apply. I haven't had much time to post like I did way back. By the time I read a post with a question it's long been answered.
Certainly made some good friendships here. Been an oinker for few years now.
Just don't post as much anymore.

I'm just getting past the lurking stage but I had and loved Busse for well 15 years

I can't give you a definitive answer but it's probably in the blood. I know I’ve given a few samples to INFI and I pretty sure I haven’t donated enough yet. I've gotten a few, given a few and met a few excellent people because of Busse. So regardless of the title I'm going to keep saving and keep stopping by and for DAMN sure
keep HOG’n all I can.

I don't know that I'll ever make HOG status, whatever Jerry establishes that to be.

It's enough for me to have a place like this to hang out, built around a product as good as Busse puts out. The knowledge seems to be endless, as does the willingness to share it. People get along amazingly well on all the Busse-related forums. I never miss a day checkin' it out. :thumbup:

I've got about a dozen Busses, and that many more Rats and Dogs. I'm always plotting my next Busse purchase, even if they are pretty far between sometimes.

Maybe one day.... :D
 
PIGLET - A Piglet is some one who has one or two Busses ans says "I must have some more". A piglet usaully has the start of a modest collection and is building it slowly and in moderation.

Well, since I just purchased my 19th and 20th Wauseon blades (a couple of beat up Meaners) from a friend who was in need of some cashola, that definitely gets me out of the piglet category, I guess... :)
