Guess it shouldn't bother me, but it annoys me to death.

On a lighter note, the clouds rolled in at a bad time here.

My daughter is running out on the front deck checking every ten minutes or so... Even though the weather predicts it will be cloudy all night and we still have a 50% chance of rain lol.
 
What sharpening system do you guys suggest for everything? Not gonna be able to afford different ones for different uses so I've gotta try to find one that will just about do it all. I'm going to get a small strop to go along with it, whatever "it" is..
 
I know te KME is highly praised around hee, and I plan on getting one someday. But you can't go wrong with the sharp maker or a good set of stones IMO
 
big orange ball here - it went almost completely dark for a couple of minutes to either side of the "optimal viewing time"
 
Not a cloud on the sky here…for once. Went from dark red to almost blacked out and now back to red. Cool show.

A bead gets the job done but for a defensive shotgun I much prefer the Ghost ring sights.

For everything? The only thing I use on everything is a strop. Small knives get the KME, larger knives get the Worksharp. I would suggest just getting a good bench stone and learning to freehand with that. Smith's or somebody makes a nice setup, a plastic base and three different grits of stone in a triangle shape and you just set in the base with the stone you want facing up.

I have no idea what you are talking about. ALL my knives are users - some just don't get used very often.....yeah, I'm a knife whore-der. I should get rid of some of them, but....I'm psychologically unable to.

Crystal clear skies here tonight. Wish I had a better camera, but the view through the binocs was astonishing. Took some video as that unit has the most zoom....try to get some pics up tomorrow. Still occluded, but I gotta go to bed. Pretty damn cool, if you ask me. Planetary mechanics and light in hard vacuum. Quite the show.
 
Nice clear skies here tonight! I was out fishing and trying to find my Fenix E12 n the rocks when the eclipse started. Gave up on the flashlight and finished catching my limit of walleye. Watched it as I drove back to town. It was about 1/3 covered by then. I cleaned my fish and it was almost fully covered when I finished. Then I came home and ordered a new flashlight and haven't been outside since.
 
I went out to watch it. Clear skies and a good view but I live in an apartment building with a lit parking lot and people kept coming and going and blinding me with headlights. I watched almost right up to full eclipse but I really wasn't as interested as I thought I'd be.
