Yeah, that sounds kinda rude. I was more thinking about the gun show analogy you put up. Hope you find what you're looking for from a more agreeable type.
 
I'm with Doc on this. The seller should have at least offered to sell him the item at full price since he asked first. Now if hypothetically he didn't want to pay full price then it would be fine for the seller to say that buyer #2 is offering full price so he gets it.
 
Yeah, I've gotta side with Doc on this one as well.
The guy should have contacted you first to see if you were willing to pay full price.
Especially since you sent the PM so quickly.

I can totally appreciate the whole "money talks" argument. But in this case it seems as though the seller just didn't give Doc the common courtesy of offering the knife to him first. That's the issue. And no, that's not how successful buisiness transactions should be handled.

I've been very fortunate with my dealings on the exchange 99.9% of the time.
There's good folks around here.
 
I'm not 100% but I'm feeling a lot better. I ate some food so we'll see how that goes and I can fart without messing myself so that's a good sign.

In case no one has heard, there was a shooting on a college campus in Oregon. At least 10 dead last I heard.
 
Yeah, I heard about it a few hours ago. Who shoots up a community college? As a long-time patron of one, I just don't see the point; everybody there is just trying to better their life, it's one of the least threatening places out there.

Just wish the shooter would've gotten help, no reason at all to resort to such mindless violence.

This exactly. It also only adds to the paranoia of the general populace that 'guns are bad' when its the individual using it that is messed up. :thumbdn:. Smoke and prayers for all effected.

I don't get it either. It's bad enough when someone decides they don't want to live anymore. But why try to take as many random people with you as possible?
 
as terrible as the news is, there's not much to do about it right now, except try to get people help.

has nothing to do with the weapon type used or other methods. despite what our poly-tishans would like to have us think (and then change the laws).

alas, THEY are agitating about it again, instead of say, solving other problems, which cause more people to die than any general incident.

Vermont is usually a working vacation for me. Going with the fil. The place hasn't been opened up for 2 years.

Just Google Earthed it. 123 miles.
