Arkansas Knife Show 2011-Show Us what you Got

Thank you everyone for the nice comments, I'm really looking forward to this show and seeing all the great knives up close that you all have posted, plus getting out of this darn snow for a couple days will be very welcomed.
Brion, it looks like your going to have a fantastic group on your table, I hope I can get by there before there all gone.

I just finished up a second folder this morning that will be making the trip. This picture isn't very good but I'll get Mr. Ward to do his magic this weekend.
Both folders have mammoth ivory, file worked titanium liners heat colored gold, 24 kt.gold plated screws. Come by and say hello.

Wow, our makers are really bringing their "A" game.

Everyone here whose going, please drop by the CKCA booth and say hi. It's
always great to put faces with the names.

I'm working on a folder also...

Here's a 12.5" blade with stag. I'm fairly certain that my knives look better than my photos. :o

Don - I think that bowie darn near gave me a coronary. Looks like you are as picky about your stag as you are with your ivory - that's a delicious piece. Terrific-looking knife overall.

Bill - that's a sweet pair of folders. I know you've made them before, but I've never seen one in person, so looking forward to that.

Roger

Roger, this is the best piece of stag I've had in a while.

Jon, sometimes a butt cap is called for, but usually not. :)

Thanks guys!

It looks like everybody is bringin' the heat to this one! A great lineup is taking shape.

WOW Don that is one big beauty, the damascus looks like it has an electrical current running through it.

Thanks Jonathan and Roger, Roger I'm glad you were able to make the show I look forward to seeing you.

Bill

This is my second Generation Gamemaster. The blade has a Dog star pattern damascus and is approx 5 inches long, the handle is stag with the stainless mountings being engraved. I did sign the engraving but you will need to find were, just having my little fun, folks. On the spine right ahead of the ricasso I have inlaid a 24kt gold oval in case some one wants to put a name. The handle is held on with "Hat Pins"

The competition for awards is always stiff in Little Rock but I believe that this year it's going to be especially hard to pick "The Best" in any of the catagories. :D The banquet Friday night is going to be quite a treat with all the knives displayed that will be competing this year.

I'm really looking forward to that. Generally, the only people who get to see all the knives entered in each category are the 2 or 3 judges. It's going to be neat to see them all laid out at the banquet. A novel approach for sure, and one that should prove interesting to watch unfold.

Great looking knives and thanks for the fine pics Chuck.

Just a couple of days to go!!

Jon

Ron seems to always come up with something special for this show and may have outdone himself this time. Pretty amazing! Going to be quite a show!

Great knives,

Hanson, Rhea, Buxton, Newton and Tomberlin!

Here is another knife I'll have at the show. It's an integral with a 6" gun blued blade with hamon. The handle is blackwood and the fittings are radial pattern damascus. The blued blade was very hard to photograph on this knife because it is very black and shiny. I think Caleb did good on it, however you should see it in person. I am making an auto also, however I won’t have time to get a picture of it.

I’ll see you all this weekend, Kyle
