ARRGH! BK5 is awsome but the sheath is pathetic, I'm mailing it back to Ethan!

I agree that the factory sheath is very very mediocre

I boiled my liner and tightened it up a lot, so the sheath is very secure, but the one with my BK7 is SOO much bigger than necessary that it actually annoys me

that said, i have to say, i wouldn't have gone about it this way.

It's my understanding that Flexxx offers a sheath upgrade free of charge, simply because it makes him feel all warm and squishy inside.

um... say what? How do i make this happen?

Um, no, don't ask that. You will find out, and then want to go back and change your post.

Lets just say, it adds a patina to the blade that Charmin won't take off.

I think this description scarred me more than the comments above...I'm gonna go cry; be back in a little while...

It's sort of funny how many of you have so much brand loyalty. Sort of like Glock or Ruger fans, hear one negative thing and you think the sky is falling on you and it hurts your "identity".

Thanks for helping me get my message accross. I love you guys!

Your free to your opinion.

However, it wasn't your message people had a problem with, it was the delivery. Your post came across as being very rude to Ethan Becker. That's what people jumped all over you for.

I don't even use any of the stock sheaths, replaced em all. So if you wanna just chock it all up to "fanboism" go ahead, but thats just not the case.

Edit: I just re-read the last line of your post and I'm not sure if that was a sincere or sarcastic. If sincere then I'm glad we could all come to an understanding.

It has nothing to do with brand loyalty for me. Its like your buying a new jeep and expecting the best tires to come with it. Just not how it goes.

You're defensive accusation of something you're calling brand loyalty is actually called adult human decency. Brand loyalty would be a bunch of people saying that you were all screwed up and that the sheaths were actually great.

Sadly I've now posted twice on this ultra-failsauce topic, but there wont be a third post. Just a press of the Ignore button.
