Or at least a few pints of clean blood to flush out the ol' system. Hopefully the new lightweight dialysis-in-a-backpack machines will be ready by then :p

Forget the Depends. I got tired of the rashes and squishy noises when I walk, so I switched over to a catheter system that drains into a second camelback. Just be careful to not get the drain tube switched with the feed tube from the bourbon reservoir...

No offense, but I don't think that's necessary. I'm pretty sure they make regular Huggies in your size.

:D

They're already on the exhibitor list, yes. Last year they had an Ethan and a Guyon and even a Moosez at their booth... who knows what kinda whacky stuff they'll come up with this year...

Almost spilled my coffee! Great post James.

Hey guys, how goes it?

A mate of mine gave me his 40 year old Puma Hunter to sharpen. It was rusty and duller than a butter knife, and the brass was tarnished on the sheath and pins. The bone scales were grotty and needed oiling. This was my first attempt at cleaning up an old knife and I am happy with how it went. So, pics!

Before:

After:

So I used steel wool to remove the rust, keeping the old patina on the blade. Removed all the green gunk, cleaned the sheath with saddle soap, oiled it with neatsfoot oil and then rubbed some leather conditioner in. I rubbed mineral oil into the bone scales which made them look and feel nicer, and finally put a nice edge on it. I was pretty happy with the end results and so was my mate, especially how sharp I got it :)

Now I want to get the decades old Schrade Old Timer he brought for $5 from a second hand shop and clean up that too.

Nice job on that Puma. It's now ready for a few more years of use.

Its hard to wrong with a Ruger Trade. Ive had a few, my favorite was a all weather 10/22 with a Valcorsen carbon fiber barrel, I ended up having to sell it one year when money was tight. I hated to, sure wish I still hade it. it by far was the most accurate .22 I ever owned or shot for that matter. The box clips they use are nice and easy to store. I dont think you would dislike one.

I love my 10/22s and Single Six so I'm sure you're right. I like the concept of the interchangeable cheek piece and how they use the same magazines as the 10/22. It's a damn good looking gun in person too. I don't currently own a bolt action .22 and it's bothering me. :D

Looks like our "mayor" is at it again.

Yesterday he admitted that he was drinking last night - there goes getting clean and staying sober. BTW, what he's saying in Jamaican Patois is not suitable for mixed company - ask anyone that understands the dialect. Finally, I think it's odd that a wealthy white guy from the suburbs that has had everything handed to him on a silver spoon is trying to speak in a Jamaican dialect that historically has been associated with poor black people.

About 4" of fluffy snow here, and COLD!

I love sno-seal. I stood in front of the wood stove and rubbed some into my gloves, boots, and oilskin hat before going out to shovel.

Gus, he is so close to Chris Farley it's amazing.

I agree. Check out this vid. Made entirely from Chris Farely movie clips. It's shockingly accurate in portraying Ford's scandal-filled carrer.

Same here.. by the way, that is an amazing piece of history you have, but if someone is willing to pay you 10K+ for it, then it might be time to free up some spare hooker and blow money.. just saying :D

Morning folks. Enjoying the first cup of coffee this morning and preparing to start work.

Thanks Lee. And when you put it that way, the decision seems simple!

Gus, to answer an earlier question, Ka-Bar is at Blade, and they usually show up with a little bit of everything.
There are usually at least 4 or 5 pretty good show specials.
First big end-booth when you walk in the door.

I think I'm going to get my local shop to order me a compact in 22lr. I was worried about the length of pull on the compact being too short, but then I found that you can get the regular sized buttstock and put it on the compact.
