If and when Art pays off the people he owes, he can no longer be described as a thief. "Scumbag" is a vulgar and prejudicial term that demeans the user more than the subject of his contempt.

People screw up. Some people recover. Thanks for caring.
 
perhaps not a scum bag Esav i agree for that is not called for, BUT thief and liar, please read my quote below sir posted on another forum several days ago by I....If it walks like a Duck ? sorry. If you Lie, steal, and then lie some more than RIGHT before legal consequences hit you scramble to make good. What would you call it? Anyhow Same end results debt, settled for I, although time and energy needed will not be. I also think it best this be closed and we move on, once ALL debts are settled BUT lets please not make excuses for his past. . How many "mistakes" can one man make before he is held responsible. I have edited out the NOT so nice things that are no longer at issue between art and I as of today.? ARt As promised both fraud investigations have been halted today on my behalf being $ refunded.

(re: ONLY 4 items in question) AND even if stolen where did all the funds you got in advance go? why must Land be sold to repay us?, Selling same items to multiple buyers!!!?, ripping buyer off located overseas w/o contact??? and on it goes. Guess what, NO YOU dont...you simply bounce from forum to forum making "mistakes"?, you know what you had done in DETAIL and how it all could have been avioded, EVEN after you f--ked up, BUT NO, so now be a man, fix it and move on. "

It looks like I am, at least in one case, wrong in my above statement. I hope that I am wrong in all the other cases as well. Sorry Art, and keep doing the right thing.

This forum is a vast community of knife collectors and this is our neighborhood. As such, when one of our "neighbors" gets ripped off, it no longer becomes just his problem. It becomes our problem. It doesn't matter to me if I'm not one of the thief's victims. A forum member's expression of the disdain he has for someone they believe to be a thief is an important part of the foundation for morally supporting the victims in this community.

"Scumbag" vulgar and prejudicial? You're absolutely right! It perfectly defines the profile of any man who would intentionally steal from another man. The act of picking targets and stealing from them is vulgar and prejudicial.

If the guy steals, gets caught and threatened with a criminal complaint and then decides to pay back the loot he stole, he's not a thief anymore?

Let's stop writing off these extremely serious criminal acts as a "people screw up" excuse.

My calling him, or any other person that does stuff like this to our members, a "scumbag" is a pretty innocuous attack toward someone that really deserves to be banned from the forums and put in jail. Just my opinion.

Stop wolfie :D the 10% Plus the Vig. :rolleyes: was not needed in my case I was just looking for my original $$$ refunded :D . I will not bowdown, apologize or say Thank you for stolen funds returned :-) BUT in my case "that" aspect of the "right" thing has been taken care of FOR I, regardless why. Hence I started this thread and since now paid, I will step back UNLESS directly addressed or needed! for probably not much more constructive for I to add. My feelings and expierence has been posted here for people to read and draw their own conclusions. I only now hope the rest owed, fair as well. Thanks again

Horsesh*t. Art never would have bothered to pay anyone back if he hadn't been called to the carpet.

If a guy steals your car, gets caught, then gives it back because he was caught then he's no longer a thief?

perhaps Esav is saying he wont throw his friend under the bus for this ? if Esav is his friend and he is standing by him , then good on Esav. Everyone could use a friend like that .

But Art will be viewed as a thief to many , and I am sure this wont go away any time soon.

Okay I will go along with that, but I still don't understand the logic of the statement about if a thief pays back what he stole how he is no longer a thief. That's just damage control gone far erie.
 
We've seen frauds come here and deliberately scam people. They set out to steal. That's not what Art did.

He's been around a long time, and a lot of guys were happy to buy his knives. He tuned them up and sold them at very fair prices.

It was even a joke, when he'd come on line praising a new purchase, people would call dibs on the knife for when he'd be ready to sell it off in a week.

Then he got in over his head, and took a long time satisfying obligations. That went away for a while, but it was a sign something was wrong. Now we hear he got into extremely negative personal behavior. That's his problem, and it's not right that his friends got stuck for the money that he owed them.

But I seriously doubt he planned to steal the money. I doubt he planned anything; he just let himself drift into irresponsible behavior. No one will excuse him for that. He has to pay all the money he owes.

You may not want to show him any respect as a human being. How about showing some to yourselves?
