ARtsig1?

From what Im hearing this is just getting worse. :thumbdn: Its got me Rethinking my POS? Conclusion, sad.

Art, for the good of everyone please explain these incositiences in your stories and dealings that sound fishy.

Where did the money that you were sent for items go.

Explain the Bob Dozier situation in full.

Explain how you infact sold the same items to multiple people.

Explain how at the same time you should of been shipping knives and gear you were buying knives and getting tatoos.

Explain why you owe Robert Bartoli money.

Show proof that the land sale/insurance claim were/are in fact filed or in process. A scan of paperwork, an RMLS listing for the land, documentation on the land sale.

I think you owe not just those who are at a loss, but the entire knife community that considered you a friend and brother, an explanation of what is truly going on.

I've said all I can say for the moment. I'll be back on this thread as soon as everyone is paid to let everyone know that the matter is taken care of. Anyone I owe may email or pm me if you have any questions about it. I'll be glad to talk to any of you that are directly affected.

Now the rest of you may get back to your bashing. :) :) :)

I think seriously addressing these two points would speak volumes. I'm not bashing you Art but you need to respond, otherwise it's just hot air. I hope you get things turned around bro.

I think that is typical of rip-off artist. See Art, the knife community sticks together, so outside involvement is because sometimes the outside pressure may be enough to get a scam artist to pay up. I mean bad enough you spent all the money sent to you, but items you sold? I mean you didnt even have enough money to ship an item you supposedly had? You do have the items you put up for sale, right Art?

The rip-off types so many times try to turn attention away from the misdeeds by accusing others of bashing and start blaming all the problems they are suffering. Art, who deserves the sympathy after a history of this? Lets see, you sell items, get the money and dont deliver. The other person buys the item, is out money and the item...what about them? You think your money is more crucial? Personally my sympathy lies with the buyer, they work hard for the money they have and probably cant afford to toss it out a window for no return. What if in the future Art one of the buyers has an emergency and could use some money quickly, well they could raise funds by selling the knife they bought from you...BUT THEY NEVER GOT IT AND YOU STOLE THE MONEY! Enough of your BS Art, do what it takes...sell your entire collection to somebody who can assure actually getting them and get the proceeds out to those you owe. If you are one of those that think you can just do what ya want, and tell others they will get thier stinking money when your ship comes in, then you are not only dishonest you are stupid. Your excuses are as old as they come.

I dont think the postal inspectors or authorities will care that a land deal is pending. A deal is a deal. It would be nice to know where all the funds went and also where all the product went.

How many who are owed have already started legal recourse ? If you haven't you might wanna look into it.

Walking man, you sir are the weakest link.
Buhbye!

Art, I've defended you many times in the past, this time the situation is seriously indefensible.

A word of advice. Forget waiting for the land sale. If you have got any knives in your possession, regardless of what they might mean to you, start offering them to your debtors privately. If they dont want them, put them up for sale with the caveat that you will send people knives before they send payment.
If you get caught up then when the land deal goes through you can get yourself some more knives.

You have got to get started. People have been way more patient with you than they would be with others because of old friendships and history. Get rid of it all and take care of business.

You know you're in my prayers and I understand some of what you've gone through, but you are still responsible for your actions. Be a man, step up to the plate and do it.

What did I ever do to you to deserve your insults?
If you don't agree with me, that fine, feel free to say so, otherwise, you're just breaking the rules.

Gentlemen, how far behind is artsig anyway? If he is only one month behind (as indicated by the first post), that hardly seems to be worth all of this ruckus. If you disagree, just post it here, but keep the insults to yourself, as I haven't said anything offensive.

That really isn't much of an insult, nor is it a personal attack. I don't think you would find what Anthony posted to be against the rules at all.

I really hate saying this but I feel it is necessary.

At the personal level, this has gone on far enough, people are not getting money/product. I think legal action must be taken against this thief. One other thing, even if you do manage to pay people back, in most people's mind you are a crook, myself included.

Sure, life can be bitch, problems in life are impossible to prevent most of the time. But the number of things that are supposedly happening (at one time) seems like a bad lie as to why people are not getting their money/ product.

Use a scanner and show a copy of some of these documents or it is even more proof you are nothing but a thief: one that takes advantage of the good nature of a trusting community, the worst kind. If you don't show proof what you are saying, you are already guilty in my opinion. Also, I wouldn't expect the vast majority of people to trust you again.

Again I stress, legal action IS necessary if this thing is not worked out immediately.

Aren't insult attacks on one's character? Even if it isn't much of an insult, it still is one.

Okay, this is going to be the last thing I write concerning this, really. But Artsig should be considered a friend of the forums, even if he isn't your personal friend. He's been here long enough, and done enough transactions that he should be given the benefit of the doubt, at least for a little longer. My feeling is that most of us would have no problems waiting a month or three for friends of ours, so that should be extended to him. Especially since there have been reputable source confirming that he is suffering from personal problems. I know many of you disagree with me, and you may say that if I were in this situation I'd feel otherwise, but that's not the case. Lots of knifemakers go way over their promised times, and almost all of us are willing to extend them this courtesy; I don't really see how this is any different.

I've been really reluctant to walk into this sh*t storm, but I think I don't really have a choice. A close friend of mine is out a good chunk of money, which is probably a more significant amount for him than many others, as he is a student and thus has minimal income. He has been extremely confident that everything will be made well and given Art over 6 weeks before posting anything on the forums, despite his emails were not replyed to and another person buying an identical item from a post on the other forums. This is rediculous.

With regards to Walking Man's post, in my opinion the difference between giving a knifemaker time and this situation is pretty obvious. Firstly, Art has already been extended a lot of courtesy, despite excuses and an increasing number of people owed either funds or items. Second, I seriously doubt any of the knifemakers here are going to take money from two different people for the same knife, and then disappear for over a month.

With regards to Art, I hope he gets on track soon. I know I'm just echoing everyone else, but addiction is a terrible thing to deal with. We've got a pretty serious drug problem here in Vancouver, and even folks from the 'burbs like me see some pretty awful sights downtown at night. Best of luck with your problems, Art.

With regards to those at a loss, starting a new thread simply stating your name, what is owed, and when whatever transactions you had with Art occured might be a good idea

There's my $0.02 (CND of course :D )

walking man , this is different in that you dont pay the knifemaker until the knife ships. You dont pay , then see them buying up **** a few days later , then tell you a sob story.
