BladeHQ is still listing it incorrectly with 440C while KnifeCenter lists it correctly with AUS-8.

I'm still hoping for availability state-side by year end.

Depends how Boker heat treat their steel. Would still love to try the Flipper Boker Kwaiken.

I find AUS 8 acceptable and it keeps the price down. I would have preferred a flipper more like the Alex Deitz mod. However, mine flicks out with the thumb easy enough so the flipper isn't a requirement.

At this price point, they should of at least used 440C, IMO. There's too many good knives in or around this price range that'll perform better.

Just put in an order for one at KnifeCenter, I loved my original Kwaiken (which has been in the hands of a certain modifier for three months now with zero progress) and missed it so much that I had to grab one of these. Frankly I could care less about the steel, as a whole the knife is fantastic. From the review posted above, it certainly looks like the flipper version is a home run! I appreciate the fact that the backspacer is Ti as well, I hadn't even realized that.
