Karda ,

You did what needed to be done. I didn't want frankp to swim with the fishies. I know you really didn't either. You have to do whats right for the whole . I truly believe you did.

James

Dude... Change your avatar. It's perhaps the creepiest thing I have ever seen.

If that's the case then why do you only require paid memberships to post in the sale section?? Why not charge everyone to be a part of this community??

Why don't you post your question in Service & Support to ask the Owner of this site why?

Your the one that made the comment that the exchange is just incidental. That's why I asked you.

But I only moderate here. The owner of the site is the only one who can answer your question.
Unless it wasn't really a question you wanted answered.......

Not sure if anyone noticed, but the person whom frankp purchased the A8 from, clearly indicated in his sales post that it was "flipped quiet a bit". frankp stated in his opening post that the knife was "brand new". :-(

Please provide a link. I looked and I'm not seeing it.

No I would like to know that's why I asked. It was a legitimate question to your response regarding the post in the thread. While I want to stay on topic, I do feel like as a whole the members that pay to use the exchange are just as big a part of this forum as the ones that post in informational threads or anything else for that matter. In fact isnt it those payments that keep this site running?? I'm one of the guys that uses the buy/sell section more than anywheres else and wanted to know how that was comparable to someone who spends most of their time posting in other areas? More so how does that constitute ones character??

G.money7 points out what upset me the most. I would like this character attack to cease against members who prefer to buy, sell, and or trade. We follow the rules and should not feel guilty for spending every single minute in the sales and trading forum if that is our wish. Perhaps you were upset by Frank for his disrespect towards you and the membership and rightfully so, but there are a ton of great members who enjoy buying, selling, and trading. Perhaps it was just directed at Frank, but it did not come out right.

I love this site and will spend 90% of my time looking at the knives for sell cause that is my right to do so.

God Bless you all, can we close this thread soon?

The members that buy/sell, help keep the knives in hands of other members. Especially the customs because most of those you cant get from the maker anyways cause all the books are closed. Therefore in turn, they keep the other guys who post in the informational/share your new knife threads posting and chatting and building this community. So in turn they all work in unison. So to post about people who use the exchange more than any other part of this forum is a pretty insignificant topic to even be brought up in this thread. I think it has nothing to do with a mans character or integrity, or motives for that matter. I use the exchange because instead of just talking about the knives, I want to have one. I want to use it, get a feel for it in the field. Not just look at it or what people have to say about it on a comp screen. Then in turn, I pass them on of it's not something I like, or even if it is, I get my use or feel for it and move it along. That doesn't make me or anyone else who only uses the exchange any less a part of this community. It just means we are part of it in a different way. No more no less. So I think to mention that in regards to FrankP's character is just ridiculous. Or towards any else for that matter. Yea he made a mistake, and so did Meat. I don't think he handled it as well as he should've, but neither did Meat.

Those that participate in the forums for discussion are contributors to the community and a part of the overall experience.
Those that come here to only participate in the Exchange for their own profit by flipping knives without paying for at least a dealer membership are just using the site and it's members. As to character? Well.... in life there are givers and there are takers.....

Aside from the dealer and knifemaker forums the individual sales forums were meant for people to move items from their collections, not for being used to profit on the backs of others.

Fair enough?

Ok well you show me proof that FrankP was only doing this to make a profit?? Better yet, I've lost on almost every knife I've sold, just for the simple fact that I didn't like it and wanted to move it for something else. Just because someone participates in the exchange more than other parts of this forum doesn't mean he's making a profit!! That's his prerogative if he's a paying member. I never seen any post in this thread showing proof that FrankP bought low and sold high, just that he used to exchange more so than anywheres else. I'm sorry but by no means does that constitute that he is merely flipping for profit and I think it's an asinine assumption!! You show me proof that's what he was doing and I will gladly apologize for my comments here in front of this whole forum. Otherwise every statement geared towards the fact of how much he used the exchange is in turn how we judge honesty and integrity is crap at best.

I think you had better start apologizing then.....

In this particular instance frankp bought the Hoback for $800 and then flipped it quickly without even taking time to check it over for $1150......
Would you like me to continue?

The sales forum is in fact the most intimate place to make lasting relationships on this forum, especially when you are a newbie as I am. Every single person I've delt with is now a contact/ "friended", many of whom I talk to weekly. Most of the members who utilize the sales/trade forums are the opposite of Frank. Most go out of their way to be Courteous, Professional, and Respectful to their fellow members they are dealing with.

Karda, Thread please

Wow, I just realized that I completely forgot that! So sorry! Honestly, I don't know what's fair for this, since there don't appear to be any for sale here.... I'll say $800 OBO. If I'm way out of line, let me know. I know these are extremely hard to come by, and like I said, I was on his list for over a year to get this one...
