Bad trade with gnw1209: no comm. or knife

Ok I have lost my patience with being ignored by gnw1209. I sent him my knives as agreed on the 16th, & they were delivered to him on the 18th.
Please see the facts below, plain & simple, all e-mails back and forth, every one! I just removed our addresses. gnw1209 has my knives & again no knife from him in todays mail. Also no response from him via e-mail, which he was great with before the no knife or proof of mailing issue. You will see his first attemp at shipping to me has a bogus delivery confirmation # as I show with the USPS stating it was "no record of this item". The second time around the knife was scheduled to arrive at my house on Saterday the 20th.
It was agreed to be sent 2-3 day priority with delivery confirmation. Today is the 24th and nothing came today, nor will he respond with any reciept or proof of mailing information. He was good enough to edit his trade post but chose not to contact me...again!
What does the BF community think?
I just want my trade or at least proof it was mailed the second time as agreed. If not well we will wait and see...

I feel that at this point I need to ask and see same. I understand you said it was

mailed a second time last Thursday and the post office told you I should have it delivered on Saterday.

Well it is Tuesday and from my perspective am becoming concerned.

There has been no change in the USPS information, still listed as "there is no record of this item".

It should have at least state "acceptance" and list the post office it was shipped out of by now.

I've had some bad trades myself. All I have to say is I don't think I'll ever do another trade with someone online. Sorry about your luck. I read where you posted in the trade thread of his.
 
So far all my trades have been successful,although I did have one that took almost three weeks of silence,no return to my e-mails.
Finally the goods arrived and were just what I had looked for.
Hopefully your experiance will turn out OK.

I don`t understand why the PO would not sell the shipper a tracking number. Thats absurd. Red flag right there. Even if the original shipment was sent out and returned, there is no reason you can`t slap another DC# on it.

Man, I hope this works out for you, but I fear the worst.

Your are right. I hope he offers some information on the status of the second time mailing to me. I am curious what documentation he has, how it was mailed (priority, first class, parcel...) and why no Del. Confrm. for 0.65 cents was omitted, as it was part of the deal.

I hope for the best in people, times like this show what they are made of...
 
I almost went into a trade with the member in question,but my offer was rejected,and now reading this I'm VERY glad it was! I hope your trade with this guy works out,and you receive your end of the deal.And if it's one thing I know is this forum does NOT take well to thieves :grumpy:

I'd hold off on the trade if I were you, at least until he makes things right with Jeff. Why risk entering into a deal with this person? His emails scream scam artist.
 
He came & went from the trade forum and never contacted me.

It also makes me leary...that he went for such a high volume of trades at one time after cutting me away.

We shall see....

I was skeptical entering and sufficiently hedged my position. I am not worried about my situation, but I will do all in my power to make sure this turns out right for Jeff.
 
It worried me when I saw his original for trade thread. He edited it but it said he would trade a Sebenza for any Zero Tolerance knife, no need for the other party to add cash. That sounded a little fishy to me........Good luck Jeff. Hopefully you get your product. If not you always have the address where he got his....... ;)
 
I am also involved in a transaction with gnw1209 and the DC# he sent to me comes up as "no record of item." I am hopefully that this is just a glitch in the USPS system....
 
gnw1209 do the right thing and make this right with Jeff. I have been in Jeff's shoes before and it makes you have trust for no one. Please do the right thing and send him the knife you where to send him. He up held his end of the deal now you must uphold your end. You wouldn't want this to happen to you. Also you are really hurting your rep here at BF. Do the right thing and be an honest man!

I was so close to trading with this guy but I backed out becuase I could not let go of my Scrapper 6. Glad I didnt ship!
