Bails and Chains

No more worries about losing my knife in the woodpile!
Hey, lookin' good! Is that a Filson vest you're sporting?

Yep, it's a Filson, and I live in the thing fall thru early spring; super comfy and warm when wet! Gotta have the Bean moc's to go with, o'course.

Tomorrow, we'll try it on my logger jeans suspender button! ha

Cool, I own a couple of those, so it's nice to know the chain will attach to the button.

those front vest pockets are just about the perfect place to carry a traditional pocket knife. Much less likely to get in the way than a pants pocket carry.

I wonder how much changing fashions have influenced the carrying of knives.

The dealers in my website (below) will get just a few of these each, soon.

I will just add that after carrying my new #15 chain half of the day, it works very well in the watch or regular pocket of my jeans and never was in the way. Easy access too with plenty of length for me. I had it attached the whole time I was working the back spring in. Also did some mail opening (wife had some larger cardboard boxes to open) and never had an issue at all. Some real nostalgic fun!! I’m getting two or three more of these, hopefully! Thank you GEC!!

All this talk of Filson Vests has me hankering to get one. I have been wanting a good vest for quite some time but haven't been able to find the "one". I like the looks of those Filsons, particularly the Western style one. I think I will finally give my wife all the evidence she needs to officially call me an "old man"... (not that she didn't already, with the knives and the pipes and such...:D)

I got this one in today and I am rather surprised at how sturdy the chain is. I was expecting something lighter and perhaps a bit more fragile but this chain and bail are pretty stout. I will be looking forward to giving this one a whirl.
