Balls_tothe_Walls (Heath Helton) is a scammer

Thanks so much for your effort on my behalf! I would love to get on the better side of the victims list here.

No worries Jake, it sucks being caught up in all this bs. I did think he was going to make it right by you, but now he's not responding at all. After me saying we look after each other down here, an oxygen thief just scammed a mate of mine and a couple others down here using stolen images from Recon1 selling Shiros he didn't own and taking trades for them...we know who is and the online fraud squad down here will be getting involved. These guys are scum...

Wel
I agree, great adjective! I think for the most part though it is the typical heroin addict committing these crimes. These junkies typically steal everything from their family first, then friends, and lastly strangers. Nothing stands in their way of getting their next fix. The addicts are on a mission and will lie, cheat and steal from anybody they can. This guy has knife knowledge, and can make the most of his thievery by stealing knives. This is just a theory though, and you can probably substitute the drug heroin with meth or oxycontin.
Welcome to the real world! Perhaps some people are shy about this subject of drug addiction, but I agree totally with this, because I lived around these people when I was young and poor. They never stole from me, thinking that we were all neighbors and such, but they sure liked to brag about their exploits, and I learned about every con that that they used, which is why I’m somewhat skeptical when I see strange patterns of behavior.

Same deal with the one guy I knew still in contact with him, as soon as the topic came up he went silent. Oh well.

It is the Age of the Scammer.

We are now getting about 20 illegal robo calls a week - scammers one and all. Free this, free that, threats from the "IRS." The free vacation in the island just flattened by the hurricane was especially funny - they just needed my credit card info to pay the tax value of the "free vacation" at Ground Zero. I asked the caller if he knew the island had been about 90% destroyed. He said not. Guess those in India don't keep track of events half a world away.

I only buy and, so far, have been accurate in my assessments of sellers as right guys. One hopes.

I get the same calls! I have won enough free cruises Tom circle the globe 10 times......they just need my CC for identification!!! Let me get you those numbers quick!’
Ugh

I get the usual phishing atempts and 'friend'requests on social media.

The latest was with profile pics of a scantily clad young woman.

It was easily dismissed as phishing, as the pics was of a soft porn model of some renown ..... OR SO I HAVE BEEN TOLD!

Do the IRS scammers pull the same shit in the U.S. as they do in Canada? Here they tell you that you owe money for income tax and threaten you with jail.....but, if you go out and buy$XXXX amount of itune cards, you can pay with those! I can't fathom how some people actually believe that shit and go buy the cards!!o_O

Yes, as well as you missed jury duty, or your grandchild is in jail and needs bail

The grandchild in jail story got pulled on my Grandfather, makes my blood boil. They almost had him for a second payment of 7k but he texted me first to say he was going to be late to the bank and we were able to let him know it was a scam. Lowest of the low would pull that scam.

this thread has spiraled into full blown lynch mob and i'm kind of afraid to even post here... sooooo let me premise this with I AM NOT TAKING SIDES, NO OPINIONs here, I'm simply writing my update for the sake of the thread.

I just had my charge made right two days ago. I ignored it for a couple months and it turned to "in the buyer's favor" some time in January. i reached out to him with a screenshot of it, and told me he would just pay me back. I instead offered to buy a knife from him with the money that he owed me, so my knife is in the mail now and we are settled up.

If the knife shows up, please post pics. Would be nice to know it's not one he stole from another member

It is often nice to be optimistic; but in this case I would wait until you actually have the knife and that it is not stolen from someone else.
The Fact is that your charge has not been made "right" yet. You have nothing and still out money.
Please post back when you actually get the knife for restitution.

All due respect, you have not been "made right" or "settled up" until you have the promised knife in your hand and said knife is not someone else's property. Words of promise have been uttered countless times to no avail and someone was actually sent another persons property.

Not trying to bag on you, only reiterating that you are not necessarily out of the Health Helton induced deep end just yet.

Please do update us when you are in fact made whole.

"Its in the mail" are the imperative - and often heard - words in cases such as this one.

A sad truth.

DISCLAIMER: this thread has spiraled into full blown lynch mob and i'm kind of afraid to even post here... sooooo let me premise this with I AM NOT TAKING SIDES, NO OPINIONs here, I'm simply writing my update for the sake of the thread. i'm just gonna copy this into every post i write here cus you people scare me.

if anyone had a massdrop falcon stolen, please send screenshots and details, and i will review.

Am i actually obligated to return this knife to whoever claims it?? I very well may return it anyway because again, this lynch mob scares me :( and my user name is my damn name :p. honestly, if i do return it i'm basically having it strong armed from me by mob mentality, so i'm actually curious as to whether i am legally obligated or just "morally" obligated to take the loss myself in someone else on here's favor.

also for background, i'm a reddit user and have received half a dozen knives from him in the past, and have had two charges stopped in this fiasco. this is the second of the two

I always received the items I won from him. Haven't had any transactions beyond raffles though.
A couple questions from a curious party if you could be so kind.

How recent were the raffles?

How do you think he made out by hosting a raffle to sell a knife? More than a straight sale, less than, or broke even.

Thanks!
