playing devils advocate here but how do we know anyone is doing that to him other than him saying so....have you seen emails or proof or just heaths word which we all know is questionable at best right now?

I had previously thought F&F meant they wouldn't be able to dispute it to begin with, but here we are now.
I do too. At the end of the day, we both acknowledge that we have a problem. We know there's a problem. Now what are we gonna do to address this problem? There are a lot of things he SHOULD do or he COULD have done, but you don't get to decide those things -- he does. You can only really decide what you can do about it. Hell, going Batman on him could very well work and be the best solution.

I don't hold any ill-will towards you, and I haven't resorted to name-calling or swearing. I'll think you might find a more receptive audience if you would consider responding in kind.

Unless he's a liar, there would be no "holes" in his explanation, his explanation would make sense (which most assuredly none of them do), and they wouldn't keep changing. How freaking hard is that to understand?
Yes, there's confirmation of him having taken steps to pay back members either via knives, paypal, comp'd spots, etc. But you could very well argue they're all in on it. Or maybe it's all him. We're all Heaths.
Or maybe he's only paying back his friends. But doesn't that just mean if you're really just looking out for yourself, that you should probably try making amends?
Unless your goal is justice and to see this man behind bars, then you guys are on your own.
Justice is most definitely the goal here, I don't see how you can't see that yet. Justice can be attained many ways that aren't prosecution, but if that's the only option left available then it can and will be explored so people can be made whole.

Please, before you take any harsh words that have been directed to you to heart, take a step back and look at this from an outside perspective.
Lot's of things that have happened in this thread have been seen in other similar threads. An accused scammer makes promises and then goes dark. Blames financial institutions are the fault of their problems. Claims that others have made threats against them. Claims that said threats will result in litigation. And we have most certainly have had new members pop right up out of the blue to either go to bat for them or at least try and mitigate the pressure they are feeling.
It is sad to say and may even be as far from the truth as possible, yet, even if they aren't intentional your actions can be inferred to falling in line with my last sentence of the prior paragraph.
All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again. Sad to say.

I also am an observer here with no dog in the fight and what I'm seeing is that Heath may have robbed a whole bunch of Peters to pay a Paul. Then you blame PP and banks etc. Claim you are a victim of hackers or thieves yourself, act like you are trying to make things right and eventually good people will let you off the hook somehow. When he didn't garner the sympathy here that he was expecting he went dark and moved it over to where he was getting sympathy. Now his best hope is the gofundme idea to have other sympathetic people make his victims whole on his behalf.
But hey, he still gets to move halfway across the country into a nice house with a whole mess of financial problems caused by "hackers".

The different amount of the charge backs is odd only if you take Heath’s story at face value. I don’t know his motivation but charge backs can be initiated for any amount. You could say they overcharged or undercharged which could result in a dispute for an amount less than the total.
You know, I have no dog in this fight either, however, I am a member of this community so this situation does affect me indirectly as well as anyone else that has commented here. This situation has an impact on the BF community as a whole. The comments made here are out of concern and have value. The harshness of some of the comments are no more than written frustrations so everyone reading can surmise how this community feels about getting scammed.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I'm a all or nothing type of person. I'm not one to settle for a partial refund. In my simple mind, that means the scammer won. Yes, I'd rather cut my nose off to spite my face than to give some dingle berry the satisfaction of thinking he's gotten over on me. Let's do the math, if I owe 18 grand to people and can convince them to settle for half with smoke and mirrors, I'm 9 grand to the good. Because after all, something is better than nothing. Not a bad scam at all.
If this was a typical one or two people got scammed event, it'd be over with. 37 pages should let everyone know reading this that a lot of good trustworthy people had their hard earned money stolen.
