Seems like Barlow knives are being talked about on the forum quite a bit lately.

Here's a nice Case 62009 1/2 Barlow I've had until just recently when I passed it on to another forum member.

I am not usually a big fan of the Barlow pattern but this one, as they say, spoke to me plus it is a Tony Bose.

Here's one that was my dad's (I'm pretty sure that he doesn't know it still exists--let alone that I have it.)

It has a 3" handle, 5" overall. I can't make out the tang stamp on the main blade. The pen blade has two rows of numbers--2170537 over 2281782.

I have no idea what make it is either, but I know it was mostlikely bought new in the 50's.

Just pulled it out this morning and sprayed it down. Both blade have nice snap. I had thought about having it re-furbished, but that doesn't seem like a smart move. His birthday is this month, so I'll probably find a similar replacement, and give him both knives as a gift.

I just bought a Camco Barlow knife.

It brings back alot of good memories. My grandfather gave me my very first knife when I was a kid, it was a Barlow. I opened alot of hay bales with it and skinned a few rabbits and squirrels.

Barlows are a pattern I did not own for a very long time; a pity actually because it is such a nice pattern. That BF Barlow was a grail knife for me when I saw it and Jason Baker graciously sold me his or maybe one of his. What a great knife it is too. I have a couple of Bokers that I like quite a lot as well.

No Case Barlows as yet though and no GEC's. :(

man i wish i was around when that BF Barlow was available
granted, i prolly could afford it right now, but damn its a beauty

Okay, that club knife is sweet. Is there any makers doing a barlow with a wharncliffe blade for a reasonable amount of money?

Queen makes the Dan Burke barlow that has a wharnie secondary blade. I don't have any pictures of it know with that blade showing.

It's real nice for decent money.
